Good Orb Spells
I'm making an NPC that will act as a sub-BBEG in a campaign I'm running, and I'd like to know if anyone knows of any good "orb" spells, or ways to reflavor old spells to make them sort of like spheres of energy. The flavor of the caster is sort of a primarily blasting one, if it matters...

Complete Arcane and Spell Compendium have the Orb of X spell lines. Is that what you were looking for? Single target, touch attack, no SR, save versus an additional effect.

In Complete Arcane (I believe) is the Spell Thematics feat. Once taken, you choose a theme (such as orbs) and all your spells from then on take on that visual theme when cast. It's also in several Faerun books, as I recall.
