Here's something I recently did. It's in my semi OotS style. I take my floating hands style from Madness Combat and Thing Thing.

The original, banner size and alternate (with arms!). All made with Paint and IrfanView. Sorry for screen stretch, I think these pictures cannot be suppressed in spoilers. I'll put them in some if enough people complain.
Also, there is no naughty version, so don't ask for it.

Edit: Because it's my style. My avatar is like that too. Except it's not as obvious as he has sleeves.

This is a scanned page from one of my sketchbooks. It contains my character of the same name as me, as well as Talria, an elvian (type of elf, halfling size). The top right image of Kurien is my latest version of him.

These are me, oots style. I did the first one, then realized the smug look isn't really me. I'm much more often laughing than smirking.



This is a roleplaying character for a friend. I like the version best where the hair is up, but he likes the long hair best.

The Witcher 2 was revealed several days ago and I just had to draw this guy.

This is my first ever attempt at this style. It's probably not very good, to be honest, especially since I ended up having to do most of it by hand/mouse in GIMP (as that's pretty much the only art program I have that I know how to use aside from MS Paint).



(It's a half-elf character of mine, poking a dead something-or-other [I was thinking goblin] with her sword.)

happyturtle: A solid style that attempts to emulate the Giant's style closely. I like your wheat.

Tala Goodweed: That's very good for a first avatar. The flippers seem very big and disproportionate to the rest of the avatar, and it would look better if each flipper was more indiviudually more obvious. Currently they almost look fused together.

Miss Nobody: Awesome as usual. The skin seems a little too pink, though.

silvain: Also a pretty good first try. The eyes should be much closer together, but right now they don't look too bad, probably because they are circles. Kinda like the heads from Cyanide and Happiness. If Gimp has it, I would recommend using the curved line tool instead of freehand-- it makes more polished looking line.I hope someone will comment on my sketchbook.

Thank you! I actually model the fins using the ones i have (they really are that big because I have to wear a boot inside them)
You make a good point about making them less fuse. On the other hand, you cant see the fins in the avatar.


I would like to make a question, has anyone make a flash animation of some other form of animation that uses OOTS type-like character?
Also, is there a thread to see animated avatars (even if you cant use them)
Im an animator so ill like to see some of that work

New nation-tan comic from me, basically we play a game called "Victoria Revolutions" by Paradox interactive/entertainment and basically its like risk but with the strategic depth as deep as the ocean compared to risk... anyways.

Basically at some point in multiplayer rather then spreading our your divisions into smaller corps to take up and capture as much territory as possible some players instead put as many divisions as they can in one "huge" megastack of divisions a strategy that unfortunately not being Hearts of Iron III actually works to a degree where the only effective counter is to have your OWN megastack during the war otherwise if you have too few troops in the province it will just be instant annihilation and there's no time to send reinforcements to save it.

So this is a bit of comentary, I was playing as Victorian era China and while I had numerical suporiority I did not have the income to keep fighting and agreed to pay monetary tribute and them being way to exhausted to fight the war further accepted that instead of demanding practically half my country like before.

I've never seen Kamen Rider, but this is one of the best fancomics I've ever seen! Especially the unique panel structure and the ending pose with them both applying equal pressure to the last Hobbo's jugular.

That is awesome. The one little nitpick I have is that on the right side there's a couple bits of sword (and other things) sticking out of the frame slightly. Other than that, excellent work!
