Magic to Psionics (3.5 ed)
There are really three parts to this topic that I would like some help with.
First of all, I'm considering implementing a house rule which states that if an already psionic character takes a prestige class that learns magic, but is not described as being explicitly (assassin, just to give an example) they can instead learn new psionic powers by leveling up in it. Could anyone help me decide how to choose which powers list, the number of PP they get per level, and how to decide the number of powers a class gets?
Second, would anyone know of a convieniant formula for creating psionic equivalents to preexisting spells. Mostly, how to decide how the "improve by dumping in more PP" rule would apply.
Lastly, I'm trying to come up with a build for a psionic bard. It could be pretty much the same, but I'm unsure which powers list to choose from. Also, if anyone has any ideas for modifying the musical abilities to better fit the the new flavor of the whole thing, that would too be appreciated, although it isn't really necessary.
Thanks in advance!Campaign:

Under Erudite, the "Convert Spell to Power" section details learning spells as powers, complete with rules to augment them. It will probably be helpful for your Psions learning arcane spells.
I'm not familiar with any rules for converting Psionics into magic. A large number of psionic powers are merely reflavored spells, after all. =/ If you really want to do so, you'd probably be best following the guide above, in reverse. For example, Concussion Blast would be a 2nd level spell, which deals 1d6 damage + 1d6 every 2 levels above 3rd. (So basically, [level_-_1]/2_*_d6) There really isn't an easy way to translate a power like that into a spell, though, because spells can't be augmented in the same way.

Mind's Eye also has a version of the assassin that progresses psionics.

Ah, thanks! Those were both rather helpful. I have a fairly clear idea of how to work this now.
