Well...it's not really BAD, per se...but the son's idiocy grated on me, and the rest of the movie is predictable, and none of the other acting really shines. It's not really boring, just...not really all that exciting, either.

(after fridge and pantry rummaging) Got cream and Dime bars, and just enough flour to make a cake base heavier than what was intended for light whipped cream cakes. . .a can of Kopparberg apple cider of unknown age and ownership, dibsed by rule of Everyone Forgot Who Bought It. . .enough bags of mixed nuts, various types, to supply the bowls-o'-nibbles. . .nacho-flavored cheese balls. . .a box of sangria and some canned fruit, but none fresh. . .and enough tealights to set the house on fire. Looks like a party to me. Someone bring and rig a co-op game system?
