Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
Welcome to a new era of...
Iron Avatarist
The judges in this Iron Avatarist contest...
(Oblivion/Serpentine/Dr. Bath)
(Final lineup subject to change - If any of you want to draw instead just let me know!)
Our theme this month is...
E, I, E, I, O
It's good ole down on the farm fun this month! What would life on a fantasy farm be like? Dire Chickens and animated tractors? Split-rail fence golems and forcecoops? Or on the other side how would the Order of the Stick do if they hung up their lutes and swords to raise some maize? SOOOO-WEE! Y'all have fun!
Remember: All artwork must be your own. Do not take, alter, or use any of the The Giant's art. Thanks.
Categories
There will be a First through Third place award for each of the following, with trophies by Oblivion:
Best Avatar (any avatar-sized submission)
Best OOTS Avatar (any avatar sized Order of the Stick based submission)
Best Rural Scene (anything larger than the above)
Best Rookie Entry (if this is your first contest all your entries automatically fall under this category, along with the main category)
And, as always, the Best Overall award.
I'll also voice my opinion on which entry is the most kick-awesome in the form of a VT's Choice Award, which may be anything that tickles my fancy or was shamelessly tailored to my tastes (I approve of shamelessessness).
Rules
1. Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.
2. Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what your entry is.
For example:
Best Avatar
Curly Cowgirl by Serpentine
3. Only the avatarist who created the avatar may submit it.
However, you may submit old creations as long as they have never been entered into an Iron Avatar Thread before. It does not have to be something made specifically for this thread.
4. All entries must be posted by September 30th at Noon Eastern Standard Time.
Good luck!Last edited by The Vorpal Tribble; 2009-09-01 at 04:08 AM.

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
Is there something inherently odd with an on the farm theme?

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
I believe it could be seen as rather...mundane, compared to most themes? I expect quite the opposite of mundane from the entries though.

That's really good petersohn. I've wondered how magic could be applied to agriculture.

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
Thanks. I looked up the druid spell list to see what I can do. I like when someone uses spells creatively. And it happens a sometimes in OOTS.
Guess what spell I cast before posting this message.

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
As I join the battle for superiority in this tough world, I present these two entries. This is my first time in Iron Avatar (And actually just the beginning of my presence here in the forums), so both of these entries are Rookie Entries!
Best Rural Scene (Rookie Entry)
Belkar Wrangling
Spoiler
Best OOTS Avatar (Rookie Entry)
Belkar Farmer
My artwork is in early stages compared to most posts so far, but I hope to improve through friendly (or not so friendly as it may turn out to be) competition.
EDIT: Lines look a little thin, but I can correct that in art-to-come.Last edited by Dashwood; 2009-09-05 at 08:23 PM.

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
See, when Serpentine and I agree on the theme it can't be wrong
Btw, we need some poultry-based entries here folks (and maybe more cowbell). Strange Tribble Trivia but I used to be an exotic chicken raiser. I literally can name over a hundred breeds of fowl and recognize them on sight.
For those that don't believe me, some examples...

Re: Iron Avatarist: E, I, E, I, O
You know what, VT? I take on the challenge.
Best OOTS Avatar
Chicken types of OOTSverse
I put it in the avatars category, because it is actually a group of avatar-sized pictures. And it wouldn't look good for the theme of "rural scene".Guess what spell I cast before posting this message.
