    IIR/CIC;

    The DC for, as an example, a mithral shirt would be 14; 10+ the AC bonus. However, you have to make an additional check DC 20 for the masterwork component.

    For instance, I have a +12 to Armorsmithing. I buy the raw materials for a mithral shirt, costing 33.33 gp plus 333.33 minus one-third the cost of masterwork; 316.66. I start crafting; each roll is equivalent to a week of crafting. I roll a 13, giving me a total of 25.

    I convert the gp cost of a mithral shirt minus the masterwork cost (950) into sp, giving me 9500. I subtract the result of my check times 14, or 350 - I've made progress. I continue to do this - rolling, multiplying, subtracting - until the total results equal or exceed 9500. It takes a while - averaging 31 weeks!

    I then attempt the DC 20 check to craft a masterwork item, paying 50 gp for raw materials and needing to get 1500 in rolls. This also takes a while, but less so.

    If I fail the check by 5 or more, I have to pay half the cost in raw materials again. Not fun.

    You can craft items as any class, you just need to take the right skills. I don't know if Warblade has Craft as a class skill, though.

    EDIT: Whoa, ninja'ed by editing.
