Default Is there a half-phoenix out there?

I'm looking for a half-phoenix template, or a prestige class, or just something to qualify for the phoenix look at least ascetically --preferably without sucking up too many possible class levels.

A quick Google search resulted in nothing, which doesn't surprise me much.
A quick GitP search didn't result in a worthy hit.

And the reason I want to find something that is half-phoenix-ish is to advance as a Jade Phoenix Mage in the Tome of Battle.

No real worries if nothing can be found, as this is an NPC... but with my party, I try to have stat blocks for every (important) NPC they meet in case they decide to put a sword through Jim-Bob or Jack (which refers usually to the generic commoner and generic city guard stat blocks I have).

    That would be...scary.

How about taking half dragon (red), changing its type to "Monstrous Humanoid [Fire]," changing its alignment to "Usually Neutral Good," and reflavoring? The "breath weapon" could be a flurry of fire-feathers, rather than an actual breath weapon (but otherwise mechanically identical).

Also, creatures of any size category (not just Large and above) should get wings.

Uhm, why do you need a Half-Phoenix for Jade Phoenix Mage? Anyways, the closest I can think of in terms of playable races is Fire Genasi. They're fire-aligned humanoids (with fiery hairs); good enough? You can find them in at least Forgotten Realms Campaign Settings. Level Adjustment +1.

EDIT: The fiery one in this picture is a Fire Genasi.

Kind of makes it hard to go JPM from that.

Maybe adjust Half-Celestial to "Half-fenixborn" and call it a day.

Thank you for your quick responses.

Was it not for the lack of sleep I would explore each suggestion to see what best fits right now, but as it stands, I'll give it all a once-over in the morning.

Again, thank you for your impressively quick responses at this time of night.

Isn't there a race called "Phoera' in MM3 or something? So it's basically a fire-based humanoid (in shape) creature that returns to life as a fiery bird when slain.

MM3 Page 121: Phoelarch and MM3 Page 122: Phorea are two phoenix based creatures. However the first has a hefty LA and the second would have to be homebrewed into a workable half-Phorea template.

There's also the Phaeton, from Races of Ansalon (a Dragonlance supplement), but they're +2 LA.

take a standard Raptoran(RoW) add the the planetouched Fire template(alla genasi)

You physically would have the look of a half pheonix with only a +1 LA and you could just change the backstory so that rather than being raptoran and fire elemental parents you had a human and a pheonix.

Poof half pheonix template and I didn't even hombrew it!
