[3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
I usually have the following open in case I find Wi-Fi where I intend to DM:
d20 Encounter Calculator
www.d20srd.org
These forums to search up homebrew material.
I used to have the wizards forums up as well.
Youtube in case there is a song/music not in my Itunes collection which might fit the scene.
The Encounter Calculator works offline once you load the page, and I spent the $10 to legally downlad the www.d20srd.com just in case.

I actually don't have a laptop when I DM, but if I did, I'd have the WotC master index as well as d20srd.org. About all I'd use, I use my searchable pdfs for everything else.

I switched from the d20srd to dandwiki.com as I like the format a lot better.

I prefer to work from paper and my noggin. But then I GM quite rules lite games normally.

No computer, no cell phone, nothing. Going off memory, making up stats as I go. But I usually GM fudge, which is light weight.

Since I only DM over the net, I have the d20srd, the encounter calculator, the wizards dice roller, the Fantasy Name Generator and the character sheets open.

Re: [3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
The SRD (and a ton of pages from it - 10-20 at any given moment), my implementation of RPGWebProfiler and my players' character sheets (so I don't have to ask them for stuff like saves and skills when it matters).
While rules disputes aren't common at my table, it's really nice to be able to search for a rule (random example from last session: does Wall of Ice break line of effect? I won't keep you hanging, of course it does) rather than trying to find the relevant portion of the relevant sourcebook.Love the Third Amendment?

Re: [3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
I prefer GMing from paper. But when I've tried GMing on my computer, the only thing I've used a web browser for is the SRD. I load up all my monsters in tabs ahead of time and occasionally look up a spell or two. Everything else is in a text file. I wrote a mapping application which I may try out the next time I GM. It makes ASCII art maps in the style of Angband/Nethack and it's entirely keyboard based.
If you like what I have to say, please check out my GMing Blog where I discuss writing and roleplaying in greater depth.

Re: [3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
I generally leave any major supplements being used by characters/me open (this amounts to... a large number of books generally) as well as a copy of the SRD (faster to navigate for certain things than the PHB), a web based dice roller (in case I don't want someone to know I rolled dice at all), the Surrealdex, character sheets, and any other specific notes I might have associated with the campaign/setting/session.

Re: [3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
I run a mIRC based game, so I keep the Yahoo group we use to post maps open, with d20srd winding up open regularly.
When I am designing stuff, the WotC monster index is almost always open.

Re: [3.5 What tabs do you keep open on your browser when DMing?
Well when I’m on the internet (say a webforum game) I of course have the web forum page up, as well as their character sheets. I also have the D20 SRD site up.
Sometimes I have multiple browser windows open and multiple tabs open in each one.
