Re: MtG: Planeshock WW Game Thread
With a wave of his hand, Nicol Bolas summons the remaining contestants.
"I hope something more interesting than an unblocked contestant will happen today. Prove to me that you know how gladitorial combat really works."
He points at Shadowhisper.
"You there. You're a proven crowd pleaser. You're going back into the arena today."
Bolas then turns and points at Murska.
"And you. I've seen your machinations. Show me that you can come out on top when you actually have to fight. And to cut down on interference..."
The dragon planeswalker strokes his chin and waves a claw, sending a wave of energy through the gathered combatants. Inescapable fatigue washes through several of them. One person, however, was prepared, and cast a refreshing spell to ready themselves for the coming battle, and another used their favorite charm to ward off any potential harm for the day. Bolas snorts in amusement.
"There. Now play nice."
Shadowhisper was tapped by somebody.
The Bookworm was tapped by somebody.
rakkoon was tapped by somebody.
Someone played a copy of Vitalize, untapping themselves and their teammates.
Someone used an Amulet of Kroog to prevent the next one damage to a player.
It is now COMBAT PHASE SEVEN. You have 24 hours to submit actions before combat resolves.

Re: MtG: Planeshock WW Game Thread
Ushered into the arena (again), Shadowhisper can only lean tiredly against the wall due to the spell cast earlier. He readies his weapon-A large lance- and sets himself for Murska's advance.
Murska, for his part, is wary of the reach granted by the weapon, and casts a defensive spell to help him survive. Charging towards the fatigued Shadowhipser, he lunges with his sword, hoping to get underneath the lance. Shadowhisper brings the polearm down in a sweeping slash, which is deflected as Murska cuts upward, sending the weapon flying out of the arena and into the stands, where it skewers Aemoh.
Shadowhisper, finding himself weaponless, races for the other side of the arena where a rack of gladitorial tools rests. Snatching up a war scythe, he spins around just as Murska takes a flying leap at his exposed back-and bisects him with a powerful slash, The scythe culling Murska from the pool of combatnets like wheat at the harvest.
Nicol Bolas claps.
"Finally, some decent action. Maybe you should do this again tomorrow."
Elsewhere, someone enacts a terrible ritual once more...
Murska was killed in combat. He was a Plated Sliver and part of TEAM ONSLAUGHT.
Someone played a copy of Silk Net on Murska.
Someone played a copy of Captain's Maneuver to deflect three damage from Shadowhipser to Aemoh.
Aemoh was killed by Captain's Maneuver. He was a Dimir Guildmage and part of TEAM RAVNICA.
Someone activated the Unspeakable Symbol.
It is now NIGHT SEVEN. YOu have 24 hours to take actions before damage is removed and a new day starts.

Re: MtG: Planeshock WW Game Thread
This is a VERY cool game. We're gonna lose but you just can't predict what will happen next. So we now have a +6/+6 creature running around town ? Soon to be more? Let's try and find it and kill it as soon as possible, if it survives two more rounds I think I'll just start erecting a shrine to honour it

Re: MtG: Planeshock WW Game Thread
Clearly you have no clue because I am certainly not capable of killing someone with 6 toughness. Or you are not actually trying to kill Mr. super. Not only that I find this weasal answer highly off. Saying you know but not saying who it is? 'cause all of the roles I know are members of my team.
