He has a ring on each hand and carries a single shuriken in his hand and two (!) backpacks on his back. [Not sure how he does that, really.]
He is also wearing a cloak and a belt.

He does, and it bounces. A while back, Doc Roc ruled that this completely turns the spell around (Thelas acts as the caster and gains stolen buffs, but you use your CL and all that). This would be the third time this particular interaction has happened AFAIK.

Since you mentioned buffing took a long time... have fun with all your dispel rolls, if I guessed what the spell does correctly. (Not in SRD, and I don't think I have the book.)

Forgot to mention, sorry: I have wings.

You're character didnt seem as unoptimized as you made him out to be. He had a spell turning up, and had good tactics...GDM is a great spell to open with. I just HATE getting my buffs dispelled and got a few things to defend myself against it.

I have 2 rings I am considering using Spell Immunity for Dispel Magic.

As for my attack...I have Persisted Wraithstrike to give me touch attacks, Greater Mighty Wallop to increase the effective size category of my weapon, Large size due to Persisted Righteous Might, 30 Strength, Ferocity of Sanguine Rage for extra damage, GMW to give myself a +4 weapon...etc, etc.

Tl;dr: Buffs.
