Pathfinder CMB/CMD in Mutants and Masterminds?

I, personally, find that the CMB/CMD system for handling combat maneuvers in Pathfinder to be a lot more intuitive than the 3.5 rules for grappling and disarming and such. Would applying the CMB and CMD rules to Mutants and Masterminds make any huge fundamental changes to the system? If the CMB system were to be adapted to Mutants and Masterminds, what changes would have to be made to it for it to work properly?

A look at the Pathfinder SRD makes it seem like the CMB is the exact same thing as how grappling already works in M&M except the size modifiers are different, and it's not an opposed roll. I don't see it making much of a difference, but then I don't know Pathfinder.
