uber generics: WOTC Deleted the archive, anyone know if it was saved?

the glass is always 100% full. Approximately 50% of its volume is full of dihydrogen monoxide and some dissolved solutes, and approx 50% a mixture of gasses known as "air" which contains roughly (by volume) 78.08% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, and trace amounts of other gases.

Try the Wayback Machine. That's all the advice I can provide, sorry.

Google Cache is the other option. Just use Surrealdex and Google searches to locate the archived threads you care about and use Google Cache or Wayback Machine with the address to locate a copiable version.

Re: uber generics: WOTC Deleted the archive, anyone know if it was saved?
Oh god.
Well, thank the gods of the internet for the Wayback Machine & other online archives. If it weren't for such powerful free public tools, a vast wealth of lore would have just been lost. As it is, it will be much harder for people to access. This is a sad day for those of us who are steadfastly sticking with 3E. It also marks the completion of a schism between WotC & their old customer base. I used to go onto their website daily; now I no longer have a single reason to go there anymore.
It's a real shame.
All, nevermind. The archives still exist, albeit hidden from the casual eye. All is well... for now.Last edited by Zeta Kai; 2009-10-12 at 10:54 AM.

Re: uber generics: WOTC Deleted the archive, anyone know if it was saved?
???
I'm pretty sure he meant the gleemax archives. IIRC those were purged a while ago. The 3.5 articles are still at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/archives If they deleted those, they'd get a real firestorm from that schism. Not economically viable to do so.
This google search refers to "uber generics", and makes it clear that the relevant purged archive was, in fact, gleemax.Last edited by Foryn Gilnith; 2009-10-09 at 09:07 PM.

You really think it will last that long? It is only a matter of time, they have been doing everything they can to make it like nothing but 4e ever existed, that new website? It is only the beginning I bet, squirrel away all this stuff while you still can, for soon the most powerful demon lord of them all, WOTC, will come and remove this stuff.Credit for my various avatars goes to Dashwood,Cealocanth,Kwarkpudding,Randomizer, kpengu in,Alarra,Bisected8,zimmerwald1915, and Thanqol.

Re: uber generics: WOTC Deleted the archive, anyone know if it was saved?
sorry about the confusion, apperantly there is a thing called "3.5 archive specifically"... I was referring to the forums. slip of the tongue there, sorry.
And gleemax is a website owned and operated by WOTC.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I will comb through the suggested services and see if i can find it.
Found it, if anyone is interested here it is:

Well kid, you are about 2 years behind me if you are just coming to this realization. As soon as 4e was announced, I downloaded as much stuff that I might concievable interested in as I could. Like I said, that was two years ago. I am pleasantly surprised much of that has survived this long.
