    Default A Versatile Survivor [3.5]

I need some playground input on which build would be better for an 8th-level dungeon crawl. It's mostly PvE, with some PvP, and I'm leaning towards either:

    Human Factotum 1/Conjurer 3/Master Spec 2/Conjurer 2
    OR
    Whisper Gnome Cleric 3/Church Inquisitor 2/Divine Oracle 2/Rogue 1

The reasons I'm considering going with the first:
Trapfinding, Focused Specialist for lots of spells, Summon Elemental Reserve feat for free scouting, inspiration that recharges after each encounter.

The reasons I'm considering going with the second:
Trapfinding, small size + whisper gnome goodies, Cloistered Cleric for skill points, some counterspelling lulz with Church Inquisitor and Divine Defiance, evasion of sorts from Divine Oracle, Divine Metamagic+Persistent Spell (I'm thinking of Planning, Undeath, and Knowledge Devotions).

With either build, I'm considering Law and Knowledge Devotions, but I'm not sure if they're worth it for a 1/day boost. Thoughts/suggestions/opinions? Any 3.5 books are allowed, but no magazines or web content.

Knowledge Devotion has unlimited uses per day. Law Devotion is more iffy since it competes with DMM: Persist. I use that on a cleric build right now, and it works ok because we often have only one or two encounters per day. In a dungeon crawl environment, you might be looking at three to five encounters per day, though, in which case Law Devotion is less spectacular.

I somehow missed that Knowledge Devotion was unlimited. In that case, it's definitely in, no matter what my final build is. I was thinking of keeping the Law Devotion in reserve until I encounter another player.

    Basically, the question is:
4th-level arcane spells (with free Elementals to scout)
    vs.
4th-level divine spells (with Persistent Divine Power/Favor for combat oomph)
