English release of the Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 DVD is out ahead of schedule according to evageeks.org.

Don't know how new it is but I just saw on Wikipedia that the 7th Hellsing Ultimate OVA is due out on Dec. 23rd [citation needed sadly], previously I had only heard of a nebulous "before the end of the year" release date.

Besides that, umm, yeah nothing really new. This weeks episodes of FMA Brotherhood and Umineko were both kind of lame compared to other more recent episodes and I haven't had time to start anything else recently. You guys have anything?

Nocturne had some happy..ish endings as well. One of them would set the world back the way it was before, and True Demon is completely awesome, which counts as happy. Almost all the other endings do kinda suck.

Actually it's kind of bittersweet. The secondary male character and teh secondary female character survive more or less intact and are in a relationship and the hero and his little brother are still alive, but pretty much every other character including the hero's elder brother and his robot girlfriend are dead.

Are there any fansubs I should be looking into currently? I just finished watching Spice and Wolf 2 (I know, I've had it laying around) and am looking for something else. Some of the Winter shows that were released earlier look pretty good, but I'm not sure when they'll start appearing on AnimeSuki and I don't visit their forums.

New characters. Haven't played the game so I wouldn't recognise them anyway but the little research I did do would hint that nobody from the game is of any importance to the plot.

You guys should watch Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu. 3 young girls gain the power to turn into animals and use it solve mysteries. It's a mature anime for mature people, such as myself.

I'm also watching Kaidan Restaurant. It's an anime about ghost stories.

Watched the first episode. It didn't have anything especially wrong with it, the costumes were maybe a little patronizing, in a fetishistic kind of way. It didn't seem to have much to offer; I might watch it if I had nothing else on my watch list, but Nanoha (which I'm watching now) is in the same genre, so I'll give ATK a pass for now.

It's a mature anime for mature people, such as myself.

Okay, Take That aside, I feel I'm kinda burning out of interest on the anime scene. I feel like I'm going to watch Chaos Head and Haibane Renmei at one point, but I just don't have the interest anymore. Do any of you guys feel that way as well?

I haven't been keeping up with new anime at all, and wasn't trying to at any point, so I still have plenty of classic shows to go back and catch up on to keep me from feeling burned out.

Umineko has had the potential at several points to not be lame, but although I've watched all the episodes out and it has intrigued and surprised me at points, I can't really say that its ever been good. Guess I'm just in for the ride for the rest of the season out of obstinacy, and the hope that something about Bernkastel will be revealed, as a Higurashi fan. (sadly as this is still a "question" arc, chances of that seem slim, and I doubt I will have the interest to watch the second season at that point far in the future when it comes out)

Personally, I've never had an interest in anime as a "scene" despite involvement in threads like these, and have mostly watched shows as friends, what got me into anime in the first place, have, with varying levels of effort, tried to make me watch them. I'm now at a point where I'm probably going to cycle back to books as my primary form of entertainment, with most of the shows that were on my "list" out of the way. Only big one left on my list is GitS:SAS, but I just haven't had the time or been in the mood recently to start it.

There is a fangame done in the vain of Golden Sun. Gotta find that link again, I those two are my favorite characters.

What's the point of Yosuke if the protagonist isn't around for him to be gay at?
