    Post Buffer NPC

So comming up with starts for a Buffer NPC.
Leads a group of 5 Paladins (of freedom).
They're going going to lead a raid on the Croem to free some herd folk (this shouldn't mean anything to anyone, my setting related)
Mongral folk, (1st gen outsider of Herd)

    Marshal 3:
Minor Aura: 1) Add Cha to Confirm Crits
    2) Add Cha to Damage on a Charge
    Major: DR1/-

    Warblade 1
    Manouvers - Suggestions requested:

Warcheif 1: - I say he quifiies, and that's what matters
Tribal Frenzy: +2 STR, take 1 points of damage/HD at the start of each round.
(Does this get reduced by DR?)

Maybe even Warcheif 2: but i think that would put his leval way to far past the PC's, though it would increase his Cha by 2

There is nothing on earth that we share; it is either Valjean or Javert!

How much advice are you looking for? I could give you insane Bard builds at ECL 3, or just tune your current build.

That said, for Warblade maneuvers(or Crusader if you want better synergy) you can't go wrong with White Raven. You'd be better off if you could delay Warblade one level, but there are some surprisingly effective 1st level maneuvers.

I play primarily 3.5 D&D. Most of my advice will be based off of this. If my advice doesn't apply, specify a version in your post.

    Minor tuning,
This is partially just a post to remind myself what the guy does.
I need to work out his attibute scores still...

Crusader, great idea, fits with the paladins nicely.
Never thought of it, as I've only ever played fropm ToB a warblade, and only fiddle with warblade and swordsage for buid optimisation

So long as it doesn't loose BaB, i need +3 at lvl 4 to get in to Warcheif, (and lvl 2 warchief is something that if this was a PC he would be holding out for)

    Wich white raven in particlar.

I'm not interested in Bards... the only thing i would do with them as a buffer is turn all there bardic music in to marching drums...

Eh, Bards with Perform: Oratory are a great way to represent military commanders and group leaders. A Bard doesn't need to be a musician.

That said, I agree with the whole "make him a Crusader"-idea; Martial Spirit + Crusader's Strike makes for a nice HP buffer for the allies, while Leading the Charge can make for a solid offensive variant.

I won't go for Mungral folk, not for him, he's too fancy for that, and i don't want to make his suffer cha penalty:
    Go Human.

    Patre
    stats:
    STR 16
    DEX 12
    CHA 16
    WIS 8
    INT 8
    CON 12

    BaB: +3
    AC: 23, touch 11, FF, 22

    Attack: +4 Bastard sword (1d10 + 3)

    5 manovers, 1 stance

Furios Counter strike: so long as he has taken damage the pervios round he gerts +1 damage and +1 attack

    Feats:
    bastard sword proficency
    Tower sheild proficeny
SheildMate (Grants +2 shield bonus to adjacent allyies)

    Party Buffs:
Tribal Frenzy: +2 STR, take 1 points of damage/HD at the start of each round.
    minor Aura:
    1) Add Cha to Confirm Crits
--OR -2) Add Cha to Damage on a Charge
    Major: DR1/-

    Strikes:
    Devoted Spirit
    Vanguard Strike
    Devoted Spirit (Strike)
    Level: Crusader 1
    Initiation Action: 1 standard action
    Range: Melee attack
    Target: One creature
You batter aside your foes defenses with a vicious, overwhelming
attack, leaving him vulnerable to your allies’ blows.
As part of this maneuver, you make a melee attack against an opponent
you threaten. If this attack hits, all your allies gain a +4 bonus on ranged
and melee attacks against that target until the start of your next turn.

    White Raven Leading the Attack
    White Raven (Strike)
    Level: Crusader 1, warblade 1
    Initiation Action: 1 standard action
    Range: Melee attack
    Target: One creature
    Duration: 1 round
You boldly strike at your enemy. As you attack, you shout a war cry to
demonstrate that victory is at hand. This attack inspires nearby allies to
join the fray with renewed vigor.
When you make an attack, your allies take heart in your example and
fight with renewed purpose. By stoking the fire of battle in your allies’
hearts, you inspire them to greater heroics.
As part of this maneuver, you make a single melee attack. If your attack
is successful, your allies gain a +4 morale bonus on attack rolls for 1
round against the creature you hit.

    Devoted Spirit
    Crusader’s Strike
    Devoted Spirit (Strike)
    Level: Crusader 1
    Initiation Action: 1 standard action
    Range: Melee attack
    Target: One creature
Divine energy surrounds your weapon as you strike. This power washe
over you as your weapon finds its mark, mending your wounds and
giving you the strength to fight on.
As part of initiating this strike, you must make a successful melee attac
against an enemy whose alignment has at least one component differe
from yours. This foe must pose a threat to you or your allies in some
direct, immediate way. If your attack hits, you or an ally within 10 feet o
you heals 1d6 points of damage + 1 point per initiator level (maximum
    +5).

    Stone Dragon Stone Bones
    Stone Dragon (Strike)
    Level: Crusader 1, swordsage 1, warblade 1
    Initiation Action: 1 standard action
    Range: Personal
    Target: You
    Duration: 1 round
You focus your energy to enhance your defenses, drawing on the power
of your weapon’s impact with a foe to toughen yourself against a
    counterattack.
The Stone Dragon tradition teaches its disciples to shrug off attacks
through a combination of mental focus, pure toughness, and resilience.
When you make a successful melee attack, you attune your mind and
body to such an incredible extent that only the sharpest weapons can
injure you. Lesser armaments cause mere bruises and minor cuts.
When you use this maneuver, you make a single melee attack. If this
attack hits, you gain damage reduction 5/adamantine for 1 round.

Charging Minotaur Stone Dragon (don't really care for this one, but it was all i could find too fill in my 5)
    Stone Dragon (Strike)
    Level: Crusader 1, swordsage 1, warblade 1
    Initiation Action: 1 full-round action
    Range: Melee attack
    Target: One creature
You charge at your foe, blasting him with such power that he stumbles back.
As you roar across the battlefield, your position yourself to deliver a devastat-
ing charge attack. When you slam into an opponent, you crush him with
concussive force and send him stumbling backward.
As part of this maneuver, you make a bull rush attack (PHB pg. 154) as part
of a charge. Neither the movement nor the bull rush attack provokes attacks
of opportunity. Resolve the bull rush attempt normally. If your Strength check
exceeds the opponent’s result, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 2d6 +
your Str modifier in addition to pushing the target back as normal. Assuming
your Strength check is high enough, you can push your target back more than
5 feet (as normal for a bull rush, but without having to follow).

    Stance:
    Devoted Spirit
    Martial Spirit
    Devoted Spirit (Stance)
    Level: Crusader 1
    Initiation Action: 1 swift action
    Range: Personal
    Target: You
    Duration: Stance
As you cleave through your foes, each ferocious attack you make lends
vigor and strength to you and your allies.
While you are in this stance, you or an ally within 30 feet heals 2 points
of damage each time you make a successful melee attack. This healing
represents the vigor, drive, and toughness you inspire in others. Your
connection to the divine causes such inspiration to have a real, tangible
    effect on your allies’ health.
Each time you hit an opponent in melee, you can choose a different
recipient within range to receive this healing.

I wouldn't let myself be guided into battle by such a dumb guy, no matter how high his charisma.

he's not bright andf i was in a rush making him his basic plan to attack the city was "we charge the gates," and the PC's weren't surprised, they new he was a great fighter and passionate, but also rather foolish, and kinda dim.

And the PC's shot him in the back using his own bonus to crits to kill him.
    It was excellent.
