Abiility scores of a Simulacrum? [3.5]

Ability scores are not mentioned in the spell. My assumption would be equal to the copied creature at the Simulacrum's level, but ass+u+me and all.

You'd be totally correct. It would probably lose the odd point or two gained with advancement every four levels, but otherwise its ability scores are just like the original.

Any official conformation it is such or is that just the RAMS? (I don't think tomes of gainful blanks would apply to the simulacrum either.)
