Fate/Stay Night RPG
Hello all,
I'm looking for an RPG system to represent a setting based upon the Type-Moon visual novel Fate/Stay Night. Essentially, like most of Nasu's creations, it's a modern day world filled with mystical creatures (Magi, Vampires, Regenerators etc.) hidden among the populace.
In the F/SN setting, 7 magi battle for the holy grail, and are each granted a heroic spirit based upon historic or mystical figures (e.g. King Arthur, Alexander the Great, Hercules, Medusa etc.), divided into seven classes (Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, Beserker), to do so. The last magus with a remaining servant shall receive the holy grail (by definition).
That said, are any of you familiar with Fate/stay Night? What system do you recommend for this? I, for myself, only know D&D/d20, Shadowrun and V:tM, and none of them seem to fit the bill.

Re: Fate/Stay Night RPG
I've used the basic Exalted format before, but yeah, I'm currently running the linked game (which will use Mutants and Masterminds).
Mutants and masterminds is going to be a little tricky, but I think it has good potential. Unlike Exalted, it allows a great deal of customization for your powers, which means you get an extraordinary range for creating Noble Phantasms.
The problematic point, of course, was the Mana issue, which I hope will work out at least relatively decently with Energy Points, though I probably should have tweaked it a bit more...

Re: Fate/Stay Night RPG
I second BESM, specifically BESM d20 but original should work fine as well. d20 is just one less step for you to worry about in making your abilities. You can take the Servant ability as a Magic power and use your Mana to keep it summoned, as well as design Special Attacks with whatever abilities for your Servant as well. Seems to work quite nicely, I think.
