Prevention of Gating while visiting other planes
Every time you leave your home plane for a non-transitive plane, you gain the extraplanar subtype and become eligible for being Gated, no save.
What implications does this have for being a caster, the most delicious of Gated creatures (for cabals of Illithid Savants, that is)?Last edited by Myrmex; 2009-11-12 at 05:28 PM.

I would rule that if someone casts Gate specifically to get you, you qualify as unique and do not have to come through, and if you do come through you don't have to obey. If someone casts Gate to get someone of your race, they get someone who has no class levels, is not advanced, and so on - just the base for your race in the Monster Manual.

Unearthed Arcana, p. 94, a spelltouched feat called Naturalized Denizen. You never count as extraplanar (so you're immune to banishment from 'foreign' planes, too). The prereq is having had dimensional anchor cast on you.
