Dark Sun
I'm going to be running and playing in a game (3.5) set in Dark Sun, and was wondering if anyone had any tips, experiences, or ideas they'd like to share?
Thanks

Re: Dark Sun
First: www.athas.org is utterly indispensible if you have not yet gone there. They've done all the work for you as far as conversion and then some. Really good work there. Monster manuals, prestige class tomes, everything.
Secondly: Psionic items, not magic items. With magic being rarer and hated, the only items out there are going to be psionic or divine in nature. Wizards don't advertise their services. Keep that in mind when doing treasures. You can even take regular magic items and find similar powers and make them as psionic items.
Thirdly: Magical/Psionic items should be rare for a while. You need to really insinuate the survival aspect of Dark Sun. Athas friggin' sucks. That can't be stressed enough. Slavery, starvation, dehydration, dangers from the sun and all the horrible creatures that live beneath it. These are big themes for Athas.
Other than that, the sky's the limit. It's a rich world with lots of fluff. Enjoy it!
