Euridite
Euridite. No, not the Comp Psi version. The Dragon version. Is it any better balanced? Inquiring minds want to know.

Err....
Are you referring to the Spell to Power Erudite? Because that is the most broken concept I've seen in D&D.
Just what do you mean by "Dragon version"? This perhaps? As far as I know, they are exactly the same, except the web version doesn't have a listing of PP/level or maximum powers known.
Unless there's a version in some Dragon magazine?

Its the same exact thing, minus text contradictions and with 20 powers/level/day. Not balanced unless you enforce 3.0 versions of all powers.

I would do either of these two options:
2 powers per power level per day. The Powers Per Level Per Day interpretation doesn't need to scale because it scales on its own.
Or, if you prefer flexibility between power levels (something I feel fits the system better)...

The 'total powers per day' interpretation doesn't actually need much to boost it into the playable zone. What needs the most help is the low-level Erudite, which is why I just give it an accelerated Unique Powers growth until after tenth level. It winds up with less than the other method I mentioned because it's more flexible.
In both cases I would be wary of giving it any more, otherwise the Erudite steps all over the Psion's toes... and then pushes him over to rob him of powers.- Chameleon Base Class [3.5]/[PF]: A versatile, morphic class that mimics one basic party role (warrior, caster, sneak, etc) at a time. Honestly, I keep it as it is, interpreting "unique powers" as the total number of different powers that may be manifested each day, but allow the convert-spell-to-power variant from Mind's Eye: this class then has ultimate flexibility in "powers" known but may only manifest very few unique powers each day.

I've contemplated removing the /day part of the Unique Powers/Level. Sure, you get access to 99 total powers at 20th level, but you can only change which powers you know during level ups. Any power not on the Unique List is officially not on their Powers/Known list (but still in their "book", so to speak). They end up a tad stronger than a Sorcerer, but lose the sheer flexibility they have on a day-to-day basis.
In other words, they basically get to exchange they are a Psion who gets to exchange their entire list of powers known on a level-up. Still Tier 1 material, but now more in line than the original.

Please. It's just a confusing way of saying "no" to someone wanting to play an Erudite and is a waste of time to implement. What's the point you're trying to make? To fix a class: just say no and don't bother?
