tongue Gattling Gun Turtle!! (Need help. 3.5)

Ok, long story short. We are play a futuristic campaign with the DM custom mixing 3.5 and the future D20 system for guns.

That being said, we are just about to end a fight were we (as bounty hunters) partook in a tournement of sorts, where we were pitted against several other bounty hunter teams. We killed the strongest captain, a Warforged, whose arm was a Gattling gun.

On to the point: Im playing a custom homebrew class (Tech Specialist) and basically its an artificer, but much more over powered. I can build devices and mechs and the like.

My question. I took off the warforged arm (and scraped him) for metal alloys (which by DM rule, certain alloys = certain AC and other benefits). Now then, I want to craft a Hover Turtle, and attach the gattling gun to it! ^_^

(Think Catapult Turtle from Yughio, except Dakka)

Any ideas as to what turtle stats to model it after?
Im asking, from the Monster books (Anywere from 5-15 HD)
    Ex: Dragon Turtle.
(However, I wish to keep it no larger size wise than "Large")

tl; dr: Find me a turtle monster from a MM that I can strap a gattling gun on.
(Even a list of turtle like monsters would be appreciated)

O.o What. No, seriously. The artificer is top 5 material. With enough time and gold (he can infinite of both, by the way, and it isn't too hard) Artificer is possibly the very strongest Tier 1. Add Psionic Artificer, and you get a Tier 0 class. Not Tier 1, like the wizard, but Tier 0.

How can you make something more powerful than that?

Theres the Dire Tortoise from Its Hot Outside and the Snapping Turtle from Its Wet Outside, those, unfortunately, are the only turtle like monsters that I can think of. The Dire Tortoise is huge and the Snapping Turtle is small, so not really what your looking for. Theres also the Crucian from Its Hot Outside, which some people say is turtle like, but I've always thought of as more crab like. Also, the Kappa from Oriental Adventures, definitely a turtle, but also a monstrous humanoid.

I'd love to see some more turtle monsters. It's one of the reasons I like WoW and the world of Azeroth. There are just these huge turtles all over the place. Its awesome.

I agree with you completely. Artificer is top of the line.
    but the DM made "Techy"
Is.. Focotum, Artificer, Rouge, Trapsmith all rolled into 1..
Not to mention, I get leadership Free at lv 5... thats right.. 5, not 6 :P

I dont ask questions.. I just play lol. And Gattling turtle sounded ammusing
and Im well aware of Artificer abuse

I think turtles are quite nifty creatures.
Resilient, Durable, and even reliable if trained.
The idea of my 4ft techy, riding atop a hovering dire turtle, while yelling at the top of his lungs, unloading his Dakka is very very appealing to me :D

So if no one else has any better ideas, Dire Turtle I guess is what ill work with.
