Broken at what, exactly?

A target level would be nice.

Be level 1 with precocious apprentice and that spell that summons a mirror mephit. Trade him one wish of his choosing for an Efreet simulacrum. Take over the world by level 2.

We're not really helping, are we?
To get back on track, the Wizard's Handbook is an excellent resource.

Re: [3.5e] Optimizing the Wizard (just curious)
The most badass build possible owns the entire game. You really need to be much, much more specific about your target power level. Wizard can be pathetic or it can be practically omnipotent.

Really the already posted links are all you really need. And guys, stop "bragging" about how quickly you can finish, it's just embarrassing .

Re: [3.5e] Optimizing the Wizard (just curious)
Well, if you're intent on making your DM hate you, you should probably make the other players love you to balance it out. This likely includes some sort of chain-buffing War Weaver shenanigans, but I'm AFB.

Re: [3.5e] Optimizing the Wizard (just curious)
Easy and strong: Wizard 1, master specialist 7, and initiate of the seven fold veil 7. Next 3 levels go MS, finish with archmage 2.
Incredibly strong, and only uses the completes + Core.
Race of LA 0 with int bonus, if you want to be silly I would go with a venerable dragon wrought kobold. Gray elf is the common standby for this.Originally Posted by Alabenson

Re: [3.5e] Optimizing the Wizard (just curious)
@ OP
Being Batman is not so much about having certain feats or prestige classes, as it is choosing the right spells and how to use them. So, any wizard who isn't losing spellcasting levels can be a Batman.
For a 'real-life' example, here's my Batman wizard.Common sense is not so common.
