Unreasonable items.
I was just thinking about Portable holes... Would it be reasonable to have an entire cloak as a portable hole?
If it had a hood, does that mean they're immune to attacks from behind, as every attack just swings through space in the hole? If they sat behind the hole and filled it with explosives would they be protected from the majority of the blast? If every piece of armor had a hole wrapped around it, how reasonable is it that they're practically immune to most attacks other than disarms?
Any other item that could be used for something else? This text is yellow.Spoiler

Re: Unreasonable items.
And then somebody throws a Bag of Holding at you.
SpoilerDM: "Sunder the wall?! WT**** kind of tactics are these!?"
Me: The kind that armies have been using for millennia.
DM: They didn't do it with swords!
Me: Which makes us so much cooler.
Player: Where are the babau in relation to everyone else?
Me: They're right behind you. Vesil is covered in Loki's blood. That is their location in relation to you.
Player: I was just wondering about a fireball.

Re: Unreasonable items.
dont you have to unfold and layout a portable hole?
I dont think this would work"Trouble rather the tiger in his lair than the DM amongst his books for to you your characters and their equipment are mighty and enduring, but to him they are but toys of the moment to be overturned by the flicking of a finger." - Raven's Cry

Re: Unreasonable items.
It wouldn't work since the portable hole has to be flat to work, and even if it did work, the first attack would probably ruin the portable hole once it hit the edge.
If you wanted to represent the idea, your best bet would be to just buy a Starmantle Cloak from the BoED.

Re: Unreasonable items.
Unreasonable? I present the Orc Quaduple Axe. It has made an appearance on this board before.

Like someone said above, the real problem is that single bag of holding would screw up your day big time.

Re: Unreasonable items.
I'm thinking he'd probably wield it like a windmill shuriken. Except for, y'know, an axe.
EDIT: Ooh! You could wield it like a steering wheel. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.Last edited by starwoof; 2009-12-06 at 02:03 PM.

- Chameleon Base Class [3.5]/[PF]: A versatile, morphic class that mimics one basic party role (warrior, caster, sneak, etc) at a time. If you find yourself getting bored of any class you play too long, the Chameleon is for you!
- Warlock Power Sources [3.5]: Making Hellfire Warlock part of the base class and providing other similar options for Warlocks whose powers don't come from devils.
