That was pretty hilarious, actually, especially with the cameo of a Gia monk early on. =P

I'm just kinda confused by how Iago has an Eternal Wand of Lesser Restoration, as I can't think of an arcane list that has that spell on it. Unless it was made by a dragon or something, I don't see how that's legit. I'm also semi-wondering what Kotor actually is besides a Dragonwrought Kobold Rogue, possibly with some UMD or Sorcerer levels.
Probably a cleric made for him? Or a domain wizard? Or an artificer?

Since he is a warlock, UMD checks shouldn't be a problem.

I have a character I would like to exhibit. I'd prefer no buff rounds, and any map is ok... Columns I would be fine. I'll start on the south side unless my opponent cares. I'd guesstimate tier at 3 or maybe 4.

Can you interrupt your own actions with a swift or immediate action? Like, you attack a guy, oh **** he has spell turning, abrupt jaunt away before you finish casting? The rules are kind of time-bendy, due to the "you do your readied action just before the trigger actually happens" nonsense.

I believe you add one to your max ranks in a skill each level, rather than just overwriting.

If that's not the case, I have an epically broken early entry trick ready to go.

EDIT: Which CoC books are allowable? If they're the ones I think they are, I might have a monk13 that could defeat fluffy in an actual match (not an exhibition). And do D20 modern books count as WotC?

It's the d20 CoC book published by WotC. Upon reading it, I can see why it wasn't very popular... many things I would expect are missing. I haven't even looked at the monsters yet...

No you don't. Fluffy can only do exhibition matches. :P

Well, it's the kind of trick that works exactly once, then everyone will be prepared for it, so I'd rather not waste it on an exhibition.

If it makes a MONK 13 defeat fluffy, then by all means it need to be prepared for/banned.

Then don't waste it on fluffy. :p

Also, a short list of things Fluffy is immune to:
    Damage
    Most Fort Saves
    Mind-affecting abilities
Any status effect that would prevent action, including daze, stun, slow.
    Death effects
    Sonic effects
    Ability damage
    Ability drain
    Negative energy effects

The list goes on, I just got bored of looking up defenses.

A ban on your character's trick during or immediately after that character's first fight (i.e. after approval) is a great honor around here.
The gnomes once had many mines, but now they have gnome ore.

And the more subtle honor, having it banned before you build the character (as I did when discussing the Amulet of Peace)

d20 Modern books are not allowed. CoC should not be, but it was too funny not to allow.

Hmm, this may be what I need to finally get into optimisation...

Also, just in the completely random off-chance that I do manage to win, will your legal age be dependant on county?

Depends on what shipping mechanic I use, so probably yes. I will substitute other tasty beverages, or an ungift of my choosing if the winner proves ineligible for drinkies..

Eh, never been a wine person. If it's under 80 proof, it's for children* and the elderly.

I thought the same thing, until I had a Pork-flavored doughnut. Now, I don't mind trying anything once.

Yeah, they're awesome. Bacon bits all throughout, and all. You'd be surprised what odd food combos really work. Heck, that one later got featured on Food Network, on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate". Dude wasn't lyin'. The doughnut rocked.

@DMs/anybody who feels he can answer this:
How does the total cover provided by Tower Shields work? The description in the PHB is pretty short. Can anybody who doesn't rely on direct attacks use a Tower Shield and be immune to any burst spells?
I know there was a lengthy rules clarification in the FAQ. Are the suggestions from the FAQ assumed to be in place?

It'll be a while before I can get my character set up (finals are narsty). Still, once sheets are back to being checked, probably.
