Default [3.5] Traps with spells and spell resistance

    Hi, I have a question,

in the situation where a spelltrap is triggered and target someone with spell resistance you have to roll d20 + CL to overcome it but what CL would you suggest the trap is having?

should it be the lowest level required for a wizard to cast that level of spell or what do you think?

(In this case it is a random trap that we got through a generator, it is not made by a player)

unless otherwise specified, it is the lowest CL for the spell caster that cast it. So if it is a cleric trap that plane shifts it is 9th level. If it is a wizard trap of the same spell it is 13th level.
