A. The gate IS actually there, or

B. (More likely) Girard put up some sort of scrying signal there because.

The eye is clearly the eye of some cat deity, only visible to cats, which represents yet another side in the struggle to control the gates. So far, it only has but one pawn on the board, but it watches...and waits.

My guess, a druid. I haven't taken the time to go through all the comics. At least we know it not likely someone working for Zykon. (His magic is black, Redcloak's is red, and the girl with the blue and inigo eyes has magic that matches her eye colors.)

I'm surprised Roy actually went along with Belkar's inpulsive idea of visiting a whorehouse. Looks like all the time with a Chaotic Evil halfing has started to take it's toll on poor Roy.

Off the top of my head, the Oracle, Zz'dtri, Eugene, and Julia.

Given that the Oracle is mentioned in the strip, I would bet my 10 gp on the Oracle.

EDIT: It's not Eugene; he has green with white edges, and this is green with black edges.

Eye's green, but Girard's spell was purple. Who do we know that has green magic?

Also, check out the country names. "People's Democratic Dictatorship" is pretty funny, and the Empires of Blood, Sweat and Tears are worth an honorary mention.

The eye is a scrying sensor--it looks identical to the one we saw in #292. It just means somebody is scrying that spot of sand. There's no reason for someone to be scrying an empty patch of sand unless they know about Girard's coordinate trick--which means it almost certainly ISN'T Xykon, because he knows where the gate REALLY is thanks to Serini's diary.

Oh, and I don't think the green colour is significant--the one we saw in #292 was also green, but we know that one was created by someone in Azure City who would presumably be using white or blue magic.

The Oracle could be a contender. The Magic Mouth in the Sunken Valley uses green magic fringed with a thin black line.

Finally! This truly has been just what I think they needed. I can't believe it! The characters are acting just as they should, and this story is
running as it should. Something in the far back of my mind are the very silly predictions spouted by the Oracle. I assume they will all come
true, but have any come true already?

Personally, I'm still kinda idlely wondering what happened the Linear Guild, and who can forget Helga? (I think tha was 'er name) They’ll be in the
game again. (Dwarf speak intentional) They will refill their depleted ranks, even if it means more OoTS clones.
