Song Challenge Ratings [3.5e]
I understand that this is a houserule, but my DM said that bards can choose real songs, but must make a challenge dc based on their preformance checks. He's also intrusted me with making a songlist and a challenge DC.
here's my list thus-far:
Devil Went Down to Georgia - Guitar Hero version
BYOB - SoD
Through Fire & Flames - Dragonforce
Fire in Babylon - Shadows Fall
Metal Health - Quiet Riot
Rock & Roll Train - AC/DC
any others would be nice
can some1 make a difficulty dc for these and any other suggestions?????

What's a "Challenge DC?" And in what way is it based on your Perform check?

Re: Song Challenge Ratings [3.5e]
I suspect the OP meant that he wished to play a particular song, and he must succeed at the preset DC in order to play the song correctly.
As for your DCs, assuming you would be playing a stringed instrument my opinions are...
DC 25-30 for Devil Went Down to Georgia
DC 30ish for Dragonforce
The others I don't know well enough to say.
On the other hand, if you bard is at a lower level, I would suggest simpler songs.
Most things by Tom Petty: DC 15.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star: DC 5 (just in case).
Many things by The Beatles: DC 10-15.
My Heart Will Go On (from Titanic): DC 10.
I know you want to be awesome, but you have to start somewhere.But... but... You can't Wake Up Dead
