Trying to remember a RPG video game

So I've been trying to remember this game from a long time ago. I don't remember much but I do remember that there was at least 4 party members. 2 of them were brother and sister while the other 2 members were a Child and his butler. The 2 boys had some sort of technological artifacts that gave them unique powers. One looked like a silver cylinder attached to his back that grew a fist when he took it out. The other looked like some sort of red blade sticking out of his back that granted flight and fire powers. I'm not sure but I think it was on Dreamcast or Playstation.

This has been in the back of my head driving me crazy, can someone please help me

The Evolution games for the Dreamcast (which were combined into Evolution Worlds on the GameCube) star a red-headed (Mag) boy and his butler (Gre), the boy having an ancient artifact strapped to his back which grows a hand to attack. They also have an adopted family member, a girl named Linear, who plays the ocarina.

The, uh other boy part... There's another girl by the name of Chain, whose artifact was a suit of red armor which gave her flying attacks... Any of this ringing a bell, or just coincidental game similarities?

Also, a search for "dreamcast RPGs" and a wikipedia-search for the top names mentioned got me to Evolution.

Well, Mag and Linear aren't really brother/sister, and Chain is a girl, that's where your memory was failing you a bit.

Anyhow, been a while since I played Evolution Worlds. On one hand, I mostly stuck with Gre through both games and was almost screwed over on the final boss fights and never really saw most of what everyone else had, on the other hand, it is a definitive non-MMORPG grindfest.

I had read somewhere through a completely unreliable source that had no citations to it that there was supposed to be either a third game or a movie released about the series, and the idea was that Mag would have to choose between marrying Linear (Mag's the only guy she's ever known well), Chain (rich so the family gets out of debt), or Pepper (who has very large lumps on her chest that she likes to squeeze)... Don't know what happened on that front.
