low cost items
My character (nezumi ranger 3 totemist 2 umberal disciple 2) will be arriving in a town after not being in one for 2 levels so i should have a decent amount of cash with which to purchase new equipment.
Im looking for low cost items that are useful if only situational doesn't even have to be magic ive gotten some good use out of marbles and dust egg shell bombs.
So im just looking for items that don't cost much for the amount utility they give you.

Re: low cost items
I really like blessed bandages from Magic Item Compendium. They stabilize someone and one costs 10gp.
Then there are the Everfull Mug ( 200gp, fills 3/day with cheap ale, water or watery wine) and the Everlasting Rations ( 350gp, each morning the bag is filled with enough food for one medium sized person).
Magic Bedroll is nice too ( 500gp, endure elements during sleep and heals 1hp per level after 8 hours of sleep) or Rope of Stone ( 800gp, becomes rigid stone with a command word, can be changed back).
Skillshards could come in handy ( 50gp/300gp, +2/+5 competence bonus to a skill-check of a specific skill [chosen at creation])
And, one of my favourites, the Troll Gut Rope. 500gp, 50 ft length and can be grown to up to 350 ft for 12 hours once per day. Only problem is that one end is a knot that makes the item nonmagical if destroyed.
All from Magic Item Compendium, which has lot's of nice stuff^^Avatar by Serpentine.

http://www.devinweb.com/equipment.htm has a bunch of stuff. Grell Crystal was useful to me. Portable 10-foot square is great for blockades, fortifications, etc.

Weapon and armour crystals from MIC are nice. A least armour crystal of swimming(?) takes away my armour check penalty for swimming, which is nice if you are on a ship voyage and in heavy armour.
