Tiny weights for items?
How much lighter are items made for Tiny characters?
Here it says normal items are 1/4 normal weight for Small characters, so is Tiny size 1/16?
How about magic items, for example a Handy Haversack?
So, how heavy would:
a) A tent
b)A Handy Haversack
be?
I'm thinking 1.25lbs for the tent (1/16 of 20lb) and 0.3125lb for the Handy Haversack (1/16 of 5lb).
Is this right?

Re: Tiny weights for items?
The only place in the SRD they deal specifically with different sizes beyond Large and Small is with Armor, which states Tiny armor is 1/10th weight.
Digressing from that and using what they say about weapons and equipment, it would be reasonable to say that weapons weigh 1/4 for a Tiny creature (1/2 weight for small halved again) and equipment should probably weigh 1/16, by the same logic. Thus, a tent should weigh 1.25 pounds, fitting 2 tiny creatures, I believe.
As for magic items, the SRD says items typically resize to fit their wearer, so I'd assume it would change weight to correspond as well. So the same logic above should apply the same for the Haversack, weighing in at 5/16 of a pound.

Re: Tiny weights for items?
No, it doesn't say that; it say size shouldn't be an issue. So an amulet on a chain can hang low or high. A Monk's Belt is just 1 pound of rope, and smaller creatures will wrap it more times around themselves. A ring can be worn on a pinkie finger for a larger creature, or on a thumb for a smaller one. Some magic garments will resize, but armor, weapons, and utilitarian items never do.
A Heward's Handy Haversack always weighs 5 pounds, and that doesn't change.

Re: Tiny weights for items?
Well, here's what it says exactly:
When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn’t be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items.
Then again, the Haversack says this:
Even when so filled, the backpack always weighs only 5 pounds.
For a different example, how about Horseshoes of Speed? They should go down in weight, as if not, the beast wearing it would be lighter than the Horseshoes! Opinions?
Oh, and in case you were wondering why I'm asking, I'm thinking about having or playing as a Pseudodragon, so all this is relevant to that.Last edited by Volthawk; 2010-02-06 at 04:30 PM.
