Default Re: Would this be a good class combo with Abjurant Champion

It's wizard and two full-casting PrCs, so it's hard for it to be anything less than good. And Incantatrix is commonly held as one of the most powerful PrCs out there, so once again, it's hard for it to not be good.

Both Abjurant Champion and Incancheeztrix (nominally) and abjuration-focused classes, so that's a bonus.

The main problem you'll run in to is feats. For AbjChamp you're going to have to blow at least one feat on a trap feat (Combat Casting, usually better served by taking SF: Concentration) and maybe two depending on your race (for the weapon proficiency for AbjChamp). That eats up valuable feat slots that could be spent on metamagics. You also have to blow ANOTHER slot on Iron Will, also a lame feat, for the Tatrix.

Ask your DM if you can get any items to help you counter this; for example, a magic sword that grants its wielder proficiency. This means you'll be tied to the sword (or lose all your class abilities) but it might be better than losing a feat slot. There's also some locales you can go to to get certain feats (notably Iron Will) by spending some gold and some time; look up the Otyugh Hole.

The BAB requirement for AbjChamp is also an issue depending on order. If you're set on entering it first, then you won't be able to get into it from straight wizard til 11th level, and then you only have 9 levels for both your PrCs. If you go Wiz 5 > Incant 6 you'll have the BAB you need to get to AbjChamp.
