    Default Maps and Boats [Any]

Mastering the Perils of Wind and Wave: Stormwrack, has some detailed layouts of the deck and other layers of a few choice ships. Due to the sudden 'wateryness' of my campain world, I need access to some more appropiate mappings of boats. Are there any well known or easily accessable resources for the 5ft squares grid for the layers of a boat? I have found some sub-par examples, but I was hoping for something more intricate then a two story piece of floating wood with a pole in the middle of it. Any information will be apreciated.

On a side note, has anyone DMed a pirate battle in 3.5 rules before? I understand the rules from Stormwrack well enough, I'm just curious as to how your experience with it went.

Wizards had a pretty damn useful free map feature that included. Have a link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mwa/archiveall

Its a bit dated, but the AD&D 2ed sourcebook "Of Ships and the Sea" was a great sourcebook for all things nautical, and many of its tables and charts would carry over to other campaigns with only a little work. Its (almost) the only sourcebook from 'back in the day' that I made an active effort to keep.

    Hi

Paizo produce laminated map sets, on which you can use various types of pen. Among these is:

    Also there are: http://paizo.com/store/gameAids/game.../v5748btpy88wk

I've played on the first one - even got a plain reverse side to draw your own stuff.

    Hope this helps

For more fanciful ship layout look at old spelljammer ships and use those that could sail. Hammerhead, shou dragonship, tradesmen, etc..
Always attack a man’s strengths, No one ever expects you to attack the strongest part of the fort. Up the middle that’s where the action is. And it’s the same in life. Don’t run away, attack them head on as their coming at you at full speed. Because that my friend is living.
