Default Statting out The Gruffalo (3.5 and 4E)

I was wondering what would be important features in the statblock?

"Terrible claws, and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws"
(Possibly represented by x3 damage and maybe an increased critical range)

"A poisonous wart at the end of his nose"
(Possibly a poison encounter power in 4E, SLA in 3.5)

"Purple prickles all over his back"
(Maybe creatures take damage on hitting it in melee? Ongoing damage (save ends) would work for 4E)

"Oh help! Oh no! It's a gruffalo!"
    (Frightful Presence could work)

Do these seem like good starting points?

I remember that book... yeah. It might be fun to add in a Lore section as well, with quotes from the book.

Never read the book- I was thinking more of the TV special this Xmas- with Robbie Coltrane as The Gruffalo:

Hmm- should it be a Giant (a bit like a troll or ogre), Magical Beast, or something else?

Should have a fairly low Int or Wis though- it's easily conned:

"Walk behind me and soon you'll see
    Everyone is afraid of me."

It has a -5 penalty to Sense Motive. I'd say Magical Beast rather than Giant.

P.E.A.C.H. Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly. Being nicer and kinder doesn't hurt either. Note I generally only critique 3.5 and Pathfinder material.
Please, please, please when using non-core material, cite to the books. There are too many books to wade through to find the one with the feat, special ability or spell you use.

    Darn.

I thought this might have related to the similarly named creature from "Up the Boo-Aye, Shooting Pookakies" a nonsense book from my childhood. Utterly grotesque but it didn't spook me like "Where the monsters are"

    So it eats squirrels?

    Can't be that bad.

Maybe a 'throw heavy stones at' degree of difficulty.
