drake swarms [4.0]
ok so we are right about to go up against 4 drake swarms
. I was wondering if you had any tactics or stratagems?

Needlefang Drake swarms? If so, make sure your DM has checked the errata.

The only drake swarms worth mentioning are the needlefang drake swarms. And as Alterform mentions, they were significantly decreased in deadliness by being erratad. Make sure your DM is aware of the errata.

If he insists on using the pre-errata version, just be aware of the general swarm rules. Melee and ranged attacks do half damage, but they are vulnerable to close and area powers. Those powers are your friends (but looking at your party makeup, you may be in trouble).
Pre-errata Needlefang drakes are horrendously deadly against prone targets, so anyone you have who can avoid going prone (a.k.a dwarfs) have a better chance at beating them.Last edited by Colmarr; 2010-03-01 at 08:36 PM.
