You're up, anyway. I'm discussing something with DMs, but it shouldn't affect anything yet.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
As in see into those portions, or see from those?
If the former, you do not detect anything.
Actions:
SpoilerMove action to listen: (1d20+21)[22]. Standard action to ready to punch with stunning fist if someone comes within 5 feet of him.
You're up. Could use a DM; just made an active listen check.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
It was the former. I doubt your listen check will reveal anything (not because I doubt your ability to roll high. Without very specific spells, I'm not detectable by listen, regardless of the roll).

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
My Turn (barring successful listen):
SpoilerHide: (1d20+20)[37]
Move to F3.
If I see him: Ready action to move if he leaves my LOS.
If I don't: Ready action to move if he enters my LOS.
Vision now extends to E2-G4. Unless your vision modes have changed, you'll still detect nothing. If your vision modes have changed, I'd need a spot check.
Your turn.Last edited by PhoenixRivers; 2010-03-07 at 04:51 AM.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
Vision modes have not changed, but in hindsight, I should have mentioned something previously. I honestly forgot this completely until now - if this would've changed your actions had you known, I'm willing to rewind.
The area of the mist glows faintly with golden light, and if you enter:
SpoilerAll spells of 3rd level or lower currently affecting you are suppressed while you are inside the area.
If you keep your actions as they've been so far:
SpoilerYou see a winged, angelic man in F2. He is wearing an ornated kilt, but nothing else - not jewelry, armor nor weapons. He appears to be actively defending himself.
Actions, if you choose to keep actions so far:
SpoilerTotal defense. Switch Law devotion to AC - for now, I'm presuming two uses don't stack, and had the devotion previously on attack rolls.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
Quick question: Does the effect you generate that turns off 3rd level and lower spells extend to coterminous planes? It won't change my action, I just need the info to accurately state the action.

SpoilerYou're fine on the double Law Devotion. I was under the mistaken impression that it only cost 1 use of turn undead to gain further uses, so I thought you were trying to use it 3 times for +21.Editor and playtester for Legend.

SpoilerMove Action: Ghost Strike
Standard Action: Cast Scorching Ray, which fails to manifest.

Re: Test of Spite Exhibition: Adumbration vs. PhoenixRivers
I have a question that I posed Claudius, but perhaps you can answer.
All my level 3 and lower spells are suppressed. Only effect I know of that does this is a lesser globe of invulnerability.
20 foot radius fog spheres (that don't inhibit movement), to my knowledge, are created by precisely 2 spells. Obscuring Mist and Fog Cloud. Both are below level 4.
I'd like to verify the existence of the fog.

Could I get a position from both of you?
