Default (4e) Harrowing Swarm/Battlefield Archer Build Ranger

    Just got MP2.

Looked at the Combat Styles, and noticed that the second feat in this Combat Style completely eliminates OAs granted from ranged attacks, from your target(s), that is.

This couples SO well with the Prime Shot Feature.

Also, the power Quick Throw is the Ranger Snap Shot, provided you're willing to spread your damage a bit.

Are the two feats worth it, though? Also, am I missing anything?

The first feat means that your Nimble Strike places a -2 penalty on the target's attack rolls. This doesn't push Nimble Strike up to the level of Twin Strike, but it does help some.

It is two feats that you cannot spend elsewhere.

Adamant Arrow style is an alternative. Push 1 instead of Rattling.

For your greater style, you deal dex splash to 1 target granting cover, and get basic attack encounter powers. Depending on the ability for groupmates to grant basic attacks, or abilities to grant yourself basic attacks... that can be good.

I still think that hybrid rangers are a good plan, at least dex-based or pure-melee rangers.
