Ah yes, that conversation. Well it really just started because our other friend(female) had just left to go home, so we were in the basement all by ourselves. He did tell me that he wasn't the one asking, but he couldn't tell me who was asking, because then that person would hate him forever. I didn't and don't believe but that didn't really matter, I answered truthfully. He started asking an even more awkward question, (about whether or not I had seen same sex pornography) but I never really answered, even though I was thinking about doing so. I'm kinda mad that I didn't answer now because i realize if I had he might have opened up to me about his feelings and stuff, if I had told him the truth (which is to say yes I have seen it). But after I never answered him, the night just continued as if it had never happened.

Also, I understand that I need to open up to him, but it's just so difficult for me. It took me two hours justto ask a girl to dance with me. And that was two hours into this dance thingy. I would like to point out that this was two years after the first dance thingy that I had ever gone to. Heck I have problems just going up to my neighbors door and asking if they would like to cone outside.

He's 'always near you', but denies being your friend to others? I guess this implies either he's not actually fooling anyone, or he's only near you when it's not particularily public. Either way, it sounds to me like he's got feelings he hasn't sorted out yet, which is a good sign for you...so long as you decide (and soon!) whether or not to be honest about it with him.

Like so many things in life, if you don't just bite back your fear and tell him what's on your mind, you'll always wonder.

(I should probably add that I'm a heterosexual male with a dating track record that makes me a GIGANTIC JERK, so take any advice I might give with a grain of salt.)

Kurama...since you've agreed that fear is the root of the issue, and since I'm sure you can see how things will turn out if you let it continue this way....there's really not much more for us to suggest other than give you a pat on the back and tell you that you can do it.

Understanding your shyness helps, but it really sounds like the object of your affection is struggling with the same problem.

Now, all I can hope for is that he asks me to come sleep over again sometime. That sometime being anywhere from now, past the end of the school year, and before the next school year. Cuz then I'll never see him again. I'm just glad I'll still be able to talk to him on facebook and the like. And who knows, if we keep in touch, maybe I'll go visit him someday, when we are in college, hopefully before, maybe after. Who knows. I think I
might cry myself to sleep tonight, since today is when I found out he was going to boarding school.

It's really wierd how emotionally attached to him I've become. Especially since we only really started talking to eachother this school year. As in it all started mid September in 2009. Even though this is our fourth year in the same class.

See if you can bring it up again, subtly. You might be able to re-kindle the whole samesex porn - but get him to answer first. Also, bear in mind he might be talkin' about lay-deez, or pretend to be to avoid inadvertantly outing himself.

That IS the good side. I don't mean to sound insensitive, because if he didn't reciprocate your feelings, that sucks, but it happens with everyone, straight, gay, bi, or other. You care a lot about this guy, and trust me, it is a MILLION times better for him to be understanding, if not reciprocating. He could be against it. He could want to stop being your friend completely. It sucks that he doesn't want to be more, or whatever, but on the scale of things that COULD happen, this is definitely in the top area.

Well... essentially, it's when someone is a different sex mentally than physically. That's transsexual anyway, transgender might be slightly different.

Occasionally, I believe, transsexual is used to describe someone who has already begun living as a member of their mental sex.

A transexual is someone whose brain or "mental sex" doesn't match their "physical sex", whose "percieved sex" doesn't match their biological sex, who believes that they were born the wrong sex, and/or similar brain/body sex disparity.

When other people see a picture of a dragon they see a man-eating nigh unstoppable fire-breathing monster.

When i see a picture of a dragon i see either
A: If it's a female dragon, i see porn... (And a seriously hot woman that i love to get intimate with)

B: If it's a male dragon, i see a potential best friend

C: If the dragon is actively hostile towards me and other humans, a psycho that gives an otherwise glorious species a bad name (And thus okay to dispose of so that the rest of the dragon race won't have their reputation tainted further)

Much fun to be had in either case...except the last one, that's a tragedy
