[3.5] Aren't there mechanics somewhere for loyalty and such?
I know the reputation mechanics in the SRD/Unearthed Arcana, but I vgely remember reading and maybe using mechanics from somewhere concerning the loyalty of NPCs, followers, etc. Perhaps from a Dragon issue?
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Many pikas in advance!

Are you thinking of the factors affecting your leadership score for attracting a cohort and followers?

You mean like morale? Didn't 3.x abolish that?

Might be something in Heroes of Battle. Don't think there's anything in core.

Re: [3.5] Aren't there mechanics somewhere for loyalty and such?
Heroes of Battle does in fact have morale rules. It even has an otherwise cruddy PrC that improves it. But there's really no reason to use such rules unless you want to model large scale combat with 3.5 D&D. And in my personal experience, D&D sucks at mass combat. You're far better off just switching to another rules set for your big battles.

Well, I am using the Trojan War book for military combat.
I simply dislike the way Heroes of Battle suggests going about it. It is just another D&D dungeon crawl with a different background/theme. :/

Mini Handbook also has some rules on morale I think.

There are mechanics for Contacts.
There are also mechanics for Reputation.
And finally, there are mechanics for honor.
Hope that helps!SpoilerI am a...
