Re: Mournland sound tracks
How do you want the mournlands to be? Just a dessert that causes health risks or a twisted wasteland of body horror abominations?
For the later I would recommend soundtracks from 70's and 80's horror classics like The Thing and Alien. Might not neccissarily have the right sound for certain fantasy worlds, but Eberron is different anyway and it works so well.Last edited by Yora; 2010-04-09 at 10:18 AM.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
Yora, i'm kind of interested to see what other people think what would be great soundtracks for the Mournland. many heads are better than one (especially if you're a hydra ). but thanks for the alien and thing suggestions, checking them out
i'm sure i'm not the first who thought adding some music to Mournland adventures is appropriate. i want to see what people used.Last edited by Kol Korran; 2010-04-09 at 10:33 AM.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
Some of the instrumental tracks from "Dark Side of the Moon" could work pretty well.
You could continue with "Welcome to the Machine" if you encounter the Lord of Blades.Last edited by Telonius; 2010-04-09 at 10:52 AM.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
What about the BGM for 2300AD from Chrono Trigger?
Or "The Last Day" from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask?
EDIT: There's also this.Last edited by Prime32; 2010-04-09 at 11:55 AM.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
Ruined World from about 0:45 forward in this is the Chrono Trigger future theme. I suggest dling the .spc and converting it to e.g. .mp3; Chrono Trigger soundtrack deserves further use.

Dire straights, James Taylor, Warren Zevon, Blue Oyster cult, and the rest of the 70's ah s*** we're all gonna die-type rock bands. Veteran of teh Psychic Wars is a great mournland theme.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
One of the links on the side is the music without the warp sound.
Also, maybe some stuff like this?

Re: Mournland sound tracks
I'd just go with silence, the sound of the wind maybe. Emphasize how empty the place is. Maybe a war atmosphere, the occasional explosion or scream being explained as phantom echoes or living spells combusting.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
Reversed Thinking from Code Geass R2.
Dark World from FF6 is perfect for it, since the entire world pretty much turned into the Mournland there. :P
Or just howling wind.
For battle BGMs:
Regular battle: Consequence of Her Deeds
Lord of Blades: Puppet of the Magus ~The Grimoire of Alice
Another Lord of Blades option would be Hartmann's Youkai Girl. (Even though the title's got nothing to do with a big mean humanoid food processor)Last edited by AslanCross; 2010-04-09 at 05:40 PM.

From the same game as Hartmann's Youkai Girl (Touhou 11 Subterranean Animism) is Lullaby of Deserted Hell.

Re: Mournland sound tracks
Look into a band called Nox Arcana. They do some surprisingly good eerie atmospheric music for a band with as corny a name as Nox Arcana.
