Wandcasting (3.5)
Otherwise known as Harry Potter spell casting. I've allways been facinated by the possible application to 3.x, and I was wondering if anyone had already done so. I'm not asking anyone to necissarily go out and make it, just wondering how much work is ahead of me yet.

This might best be represented by the item familiar option for wizards, from Dragon magazine. Lose your familiar, gain a bonded item that gives you a few extra perks and is required to cast ANY of your spells. You can find details on Crystalkeep.

I like metamagic rods, runestaves and similars for this. Mechanical benefits, ahoy!
