    Default Dumb Question about Encumbrance

    Just a random question that I can't find the answer for. The rules about encumbrance seem to skirt around what penalties actually apply, as far as I know.

    Basic problem, character in question has a medium load due to armor and shield. What penalties should apply to him?

    Firstly, there aren't any dumb questions. Second, there is a thread dedicated to Simple QnA. Third, Googling "SRD [game term]" will almost always provide the answer you seek.

    Fourth, the answer is in table form at the bottom of this page.
