    Default does 3.5 have...

from 2.0 i seem to remember a spell, maybe even two that caused the caster and another creature to permenantly swap bodies. I am wondering if there is a 3 or 3.5 version of this spell

There's a Psionic power. Otherwise, Magic Jar is probably the closest.

It's possible temporary with magic jar. I guess you could research a permanent version of that spell.

I believe, in 2E, Magic Jar didn't have a duration. You could posses someone indefinitely. Although, you didn't really swap bodies, the other guy gets stuck in the jar.

    Mindrape them. Mindrape yourself.

Odd way to do it, but I have always felt mindrape is a perfectly acceptable answer to anything in large enough quantities.

Given the sheer ammount of source books for 3.5 the answer to the question "does 3.5 have..." is going to alway be yes.

That wouldn't transfer spellcasting abilities, though.

I thought mindrape could give class levels mainly because it said memories.

I never really cared to look into it too closely, but this has popped up a few times on these forums. In fact Cindy was a 5 year old elf mind raped into a level 20 wizard.
