Default How to cast 3rd-level spells w/no spell failure?

I remember somewhere I saw a feat or something that would let a character cast up to 3rd-level spells while ignoring the arcane spell failure chance. But now I can't remember what it was and I can't find it on Google. Help, please!

    List of Stuff.

Not a direct answer to your question, but it has a compilation of ASF-reducers (in addition to just about everything else). You should be able to find what you were looking for there.

Maybe check the Armored Mage ACF in Complete Mage, which will allow you to cast up to 3rd level spells in light armor with two levels of Fighter.

Oh wait, I remember now. It's the Armored Mage fighter variant, and the 3rd level thing is because I only took two levels in fighter.

fighter level three is dumb level.

But feel free to discuss ways of getting around spell failure.

    EDIT: oh haha totally ninja'd.

Wait, fighter has more than two levels? I thought it was like monk or paladin.

Fighter 3 gives you a free Skill Focus: Intimidate.
Fighter 4 lets you get Melee/Ranged Weapon Mastery.
Fighter 6 makes you a better dungeoncrasher.
Fighter 9 lets you demoralize as a swift action.
For most builds though you're probably better off to just stop at two.

1 level of Spellthief + Master Spellthief + Battle Caster = Ability to wear medium armor (or Mithral heavy armor) without having to worry about ASF

1 level of Prestige Bard + Battle Caster = Ability to wear medium armor (or Mithral heavy armor) without having to worry about ASF

Those are both cool, but the Armored Mage fighter variant just happens to be a better fit for my character. He doesn't wear a lot of armor anyway, and I'm too impatient to start getting prestige class levels to take any more regular levels, even though I'll have to take my chances on 4th level spells.
