Default Natural claw attacks + Totemist?

What happens if you already have claw attacks, then bind a soulmeld that adds claw attacks?

    Do you get more?

If not, a Warshaper/Totemist is useless isn't it?

A Warshaper/Totemist wouldn't be useless. I'm not sure how the binding would work if you naturally had claws, but in the case of a Warshaper/Totemist, you can get the claws via your soulmeld, then improve them via Warshaper.

But warshaper can grow ANY natural weapon already. And improve them next round.

Claws? They have it. Bite too. Also tail, also slam, also tentacles, also wings.

Anything a totemist can bind, a warshaper can grow.

You do realize most sane DM's will limit it to one natural attack?

It's not clear. MoI doesn't really answer that question, so it's a DM call.

There's a soulmeld that gives you two bite attacks (Threefold Mask of the Chimera), and Girallon Arms gives you four claw attacks (but it's not clear if it gives you four fully-functional arms/hands), so it wouldn't be unheard of for a soulmeld to give you a natural attack on top of another one. However, I think the only example we have of a soulmeld mentioning an existing natural attack is Claws of the Wyrm, Dragon Magic p. 83:

"It you already have claw attacks, use either your normal claw damage or the damage given for this soulmeld, whichever is higher."

Dragon Magic was published after MoI, but I don't think it would be completely horrible if you applied the same wording/interpretation to previous soulmelds that grant natural attacks.

A totemist can enchanthis, with should allow them to overcome DR: magic.

If you have natural attacks already, use your soulmelds to augement them. Pick up the Rend from Girallon Arms. Pick up the Pounce from Sphinx Claws. Pick up the crazyness that is Phase Cloak. Or defenses from a couple of other melds.

Really, not having to spend valuable Chakra Binds on GETTING natural attacks means you can spend them on EMPOWERING your natural attacks. Thats why web enhancement Kobalds make good Totemists. They come pre-packaged with Claw/Claw/Bite, meaning you get to use your binds elsewhere.
