Holding 2H weapons one-handed

I was wondering if there was any way besides that feat, which lets you use larger sized weapons. Maybe I should just take weapon focus and accept the remaining -1.

You are better off Power attacking normally with a 2hander. Weapon focus just makes an already underpowered strategy worse.

You can't wield a two-handed weapon one-handed; Monkey Grip merely makes you able to use larger weapons without increasing their handedness. It does nothing to correctly sized weapons. You could pick a two-hander of smaller-than-your size wielding it one-handed, but it'd just be equivalent to a normal, smaller weapon and you'd be taking -2 penalty for wielding miss-sized weapons.

Strongarm Bracers [MiC] with DM handwaving would work.

Uh, Shield-spell or animated shield or buckler with Improved Buckler Defense? All work and allow you to two-hand (more importantly, one-handing two-hand weapon leaves you without the real benefits of two-handing like full PA, 1.5*Str and company).

And dropping 2 perfectly good feats on Monkey Grip and Weapon Focus will not make you a good fighter. Martial Study and Arcane Strike might help. Heck, even Dodge and Improved Toughness would be better.

And if you are holding a weapon in 1 hand, and a (non-buckler) shield in the other, you can't cast. Eldariel omitted another benefit of two-handing. You can take a hand off your weapon as a free action, cast, and put your hand back on your weapon as a free action.

Animated Shield is a shield enhanced to float around you protecting you without using hands.

Martial Study is a feat from Tome of Battle. It gives you a maneuver that you can use once per battle (if you aren't a ToB class).

Shield is a first level spell in PHB. +4 AC 1 min/level. Even better if you enter Abjurant Champion (PRC in complete mage).

Also in ToB. Stuff like extra damage, miss chances, DR 5 for the round, roll 2 dice to hit, lots of joy. (and those are just the level 1 ones. you would likely qualify for level 2 maneuvers.)
