Christopher Grimm (Name subject to change)

Alias: "Hey kid" to most people at first. "Chris" to others. He has gone under a bunch of aliases when he found it convenient.
    Gender: Male
    Race: Human
    Age: 17
Alignment: Neutral Good, a little towards True Neutral
Class: Warblade/Factotum would probably be the best way to summarize his abilities.
Profession: Adventurer/detective is a good start.
    Power: Around 3.5 to 4

    Description:
    Spoiler
    Show
Fair skin, dark brown hair, green eyed, and about 5' 7". His hair is thick, brushed towards the front and upwards, with sideburns reaching past his earlobes. He has been described as Olympian, albeit in a half-kidding manner, his build muscular and fairly broad-chested. His fingers are fairly long and thin. He tends to have a serious face, although it isn't "GRIMDARK" by any stretch of the imagination.

    Outfits:
    Spoiler
    Show
NOTE!: Thanks to the limitations of the Tektek Dream Avatar app, the pictures provided are meant purely as a guidline to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Chris Classic: A hoodie, t-shirt, a pair of black, fingerless gloves with gray spider web patterns, and a pair of loose, slightly tattered denim jeans. He also wears black tennis shoes with white accents, as well as a red lightning bolt design. He tends to wear a dark blue backpack with various trinkets and baubles on it.

The hoodie is one with a zipper through the middle, with pockets in the front. His hoodie is black, with gold and ash gray decorations of typical urban styling; skulls, aces of spades, playing cards of all aces, baroque tooling, that sort of thing. Across the chest are bold white letters of the word "FAIL'D" in capital letters, with an "XD" emoticon at a diagonal near the D. On the forearms of the sleeves are two images. On the left forearm is an image of unicorn, holding half of a shield. On the right forearm is an image of a lion holding the other half of the shield. Both images are styled in the form of heraldry, looking like two halves to the same crest. He tends to wear his sleeves down over his knuckles and a bit of his fingers.

Chris with Bandage: Pretty much Chris with a bandage on his arm and not wearing a hoodie.

Battle Nerd: An unbuttoned, long sleeve green shirt over a white t-shirt with a black jolly roger on the chest. Brown pants. Horn-rimmed glasses. Slung over the shoulder is a tube, like the kind used to transport paintings.

    Backpack Baubles:
    Spoiler
    Show
Tiny figure of Churuya-san in famous "Nyoro~n" pose.
Tiny figure of a Prinny from the Disgaea series.
    Thin light blue crystal.
A green and black pin of an Ace of Spades.
Dreamcatcher made of silver and turquoise.
1" circle pin with an image of an angelic Companion Cube.

    Personality:
    Spoiler
    Show
Diligent, patient, courageous. He is clever and smart. Also a little stubborn and one-tracked when he is on a job. He also can come across as blunt and kurt, often when in pursuit of a goal. He isn't unkind, however, and is willing to help those he feels need it.

    Equipment:
    Spoiler
    Show
The Vorpal Blade: Yes, the actual blade that went "snicker-snack" in Lewis Carrol's poem "Jabberwocky". The handle part of the sword is made of iron, and is really simple in design. The blade itself seems to glow an intense golden-yellow color that somehow doesn't give off illumination.

This blade is enchanted with the ability to cut through any physical substance that the wielder chooses. Thus, theoretically, the wielder can make the blade deal completely non-lethal damage, as well as cut through opponent's hide as easily as a hot knife through butter. However, the ability does not affect non-physical substances, such as magic and souls (unless they somehow became a physical substance).

The Tinderbox: An artifact from the fairy tale "The Tinderbox" by Hans Christian Andersen. It is in the form of a brass Zippo lighter with black clockwork tooling.

The Tinderbox can summon up to three dogs, one each time you flick the lighter. All three look like fiendish doberman pinschers, each one larger, stronger, and more demonic looking than the last. All of them are around the size of a man, however. They seem to have a bit of a fire theme, no doubt due to the nature of the object they are bound to. They are capable of speech, have keen senses and great strength, and can seemingly instantaneously retrieve any objects their master wishes.

Armorweave Hooded Jacket: His hoodie. It is enchanted to where it acts as a set of magical full plate armor, while still retaining the qualities of fabric clothing. The enchantment extends all the way down his pants also, essentially completely armoring him.

Spidersilk Gloves and Socks: His fingerless gloves and socks. They magically fit any size. These items give him the ability to run up walls and ceilings, also allowing him to cling to surfaces like spiders.

Backpack of Holding: The dark blue backpack. Pretty much what the title says, a bag of holding that is a backpack

    The contents:
    Spoiler
    Show
    Of his pockets:
    Spoiler
    Show
An iTouch that has infinite battery and can get internet reception anywhere.
    The Tinderbox.
A wallet, containing about $450 in cash, along with change and a couple of gold coins, as well as a magical fake ID that changes to fit whatever is necessary.
    His cellphone.

    Of his backpack:
    Spoiler
    Show
A bag of gold, a bag of silver, and a bag of copper.
Trail rations and water purifying pills.
A toolbox, filled with almost every tool you could think of.
    60 feet of rope.
    A grappling hook.
    Duct tape.
    First aid kit.
    Lockpick set.
    Gas mask.
    Binoculars.
    Handcuffs and ziptie handcuffs.
An FN-P90, along with several magazines for it.
An M-16 with grenade launcher, along with several magazines and ammunition for it.
    Flare gun with extra flares.
About half a dozen flash grenades.
    A spare sword.
A notebook with infinite pages, bookmarked for convenience. The contents of the notebook are various notes and analysis papers.
    A bottomless pen.
    A miniature forgery kit.
A proper laptop, also with an infinite battery and internet connection everywhere.
A Nintendo DS with games. Also a PSP with games.

    Abilities:
    Spoiler
    Show
In addition to his athleticism, he has an enchantment on him that increases his speed, strength, and toughness slightly. He is quite smart and clever. He has quite a bit of practice with the sword, and he is quite proficient in both melee weapons and ranged weapons. He has some experience finding, avoiding, and disarming traps. He can be quite sneaky, and can take on disguises quite well. Thanks to both his intelligence and his notes, he has quite the collection of knowledge, although at first it is relatively limited. He has a slight aptitude for magic, but so far the extent of his abilities is basically a telekinetic push, and not even a big one.

    Backstory: To be written later.

    Misc.: May have notes here.

    Ilyena

    Alias: Goliath
    Gender: Male
    Race/Species: Half-Elf
    Age: 33
    Alignment: LN
Class/Profession: Spellcaster of some sort, makes a study of it.
    Power Rating: C
    Description:

Personality: Ilyena is a scientist, first and foremost, and his study is magic. Everything magical. Curiousity, rationality, and little patience for anything in the way of explanations. Needless to say, this attitude does not make him popular with the wizards and warlocks he studies. Ilyena is rather used to treating people like puzzles to be solved, and marks to be robbed. With his few friends, though, he's quite loyal and would go to the ends of the earth for them.
Equipment: Ilyena has a small collection of magic items that he's either not through studying or can't bear to part with, sealed away in a bag of holding. Aside from that, Ilyena has a jaw-droppingly extensive catalogue of spells on his laptop, and has memorized a decent portion of them. He does a lot of traveling, so his possessions are limited as far as clothes and such go.
Abilities: Ilyena is a formidable spellcaster, in that he has a spell for every occasion and can modify and combine his spells when nescessary.

Equipment: Labcoat, an array of random magic-esque potions. Sometimes, coilguns.
Abilities: Claw attack, Tail Whip, Bite attack, Fire breath, Fire immunity. Shockingly formidable mental defenses. Crippling pinches.

I just realized that I have no idea where Kenyon's description would be back on this forum, if it's still here. That, and most of the people around here now probably aren't familiar with him.

    Personal Stats

    Name: Kenyon Trammel
    Race: Human
    Class: Rifleman
    Alignment: Neutral Good
Temperment: Very casual, Kenyon remains calm under most stressful situations.
While capable of holding his own in any confrontation, he'd sooner drink a beer with his opponent than shoot them. However, when he sees someone doing something that "just ain't right", he has been known become highly aggressive and confrontational.
Power Level: D+ to C-, depending on who you ask.
    Age: 29
    Height: 6'4"
    Weight: 190 lbs
Hair: Dark Brown, in a military-style haircut.
    Eye colour: Light Brown

    Weapons:

-"Soulstriker," Kenyon's rifle, given to him by his father. Based on local military muskets, but improved to give better range and accuracy. The barrel of the rifle is made of an odd mithril/adamantine alloy, to help prevent damage from within and without. Equipped with a bayonet for close-quarters combat, and a steel-reinforced stock for those who get too close into his personal space. Able to be armed with several types of shots, depending on circumstances.

-Shortsword. Regular. Boring. Standard military issue.

    Description:

Kenyon is commonly seen wearing a light grey military coat over a blue, short-sleeved tunic, dark gray pants, and black leather boots. Has a bandolier, with several types of bullets and shots, draped across his shoulder, and a medium-sized satchel at his side.

    Backstory:

The land where Kenyon comes from, Sarundia, is an interesting place. In an area known for legendary magic users, not a single person in Sarundia has been able to learn or utilize magic themselves. There have been many legends explaining why. Some say Sarundia was cursed in ancient times, so that no one born on the land would learn the arcane arts. Others say the first people to settle here were refugees from another land that exiled all non-magic users. Whatever the reason, the culture of the Sarundians has centered more around mechanics and gunpowder than magic.

The same went for Kenyon's father, Darryn Trammel, one of the land's greatest inventors and a legendary gunsmith. Darryn designed much of the weaponry currently used by the Sarundian military. When he was finally old enough to carry a weapon, young Kenyon would help his father demonstrate the newest tools he had developed.

As he got older, Kenyon showed a great deal of skill with much of his father's equipment, especially the difficult to use long-range rifles. It was at this time that Darryn, noticing his son's affinity to rifled weaponry, made "Soulstriker," his greatest development to date.

After a brief stint in the military, Kenyon was bitten by the Adventurer's bug by age 22. With only Soulstriker, a sword, and his technological knowledge, he went out into the wild to make a name for himself and the Trammel family.

    Common Knowledge:

-Accent best described as American, Southern.
-Despite his tall frame, Kenyon is surprisingly agile.
-Loves a good drink. Give him a beer, and he'll be your best friend. However, don't give him a Dragon's Liver Buster if you wish for him to stay conscious.
-Due to his Sarundian heritage, Kenyon is an avid tinkerer. He is enthralled by anything mechanical.
-Since nearly all Sarundians are unable to perform magic, enchanting weaponry is an expensive business there, left generally for elite warriors and the nobility. Due to that, Kenyon and his father invented several new types of shot for Sarundian muskets and rifles. Using their chemical and mechanical knowledge, they were able to create shots that could engulf their target in flame, encase them in ice, even directly attack them without killing. Kenyon keeps many of these shots in his bandolier and satchel.

    Notes:

-An apparent side effect to the Sarundian curse, Kenyon seems to have strange reactions to healing or buffing magic that is cast on him. Drinking a simple healing potion has been known to make him violently ill, and healing spells seem to cause him as much pain as the wounds they are healing. As such, he avoids healing magic as much as possible, preferring non-magical alternatives, despite the fact that they may hurt or leave scarring.

    Name: Jacky Paper
Age: 23 (keeps forgetting he's not 22 anymore)
    Race: Human
Class: Would prolly be a bard
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
Attitude: Laid back, imaginative, and a procrastinator. Likes to be underestimated, and is very energetic. When under stress, he switches between his usual attitude, and taking advantage of the situation as an excuse to let out a bit of his bottled up anger, frustration, sadness, and general hatred of pretty much everything around him. Prefers to do and learn things until he's mastered doing them, then move on and never do them again, unless they're fun. Tries to be nice and friendly, and outwardly is, but deep inside he can always find a reason to hate everyone he sees. Pessimistic, then optimistic, witty, then sarcastic, open, then closed, poetic, then bored, Jacky can't be summed up by any words other than, "Sure-wait, what?"
    Height: 5'11''
Weight: 189 lbs, though tends to lose weight over vacation due to forgetting to eat. A schedule reminds him to do so, usually.
Weaponry: Keeps some simple firearms at home for protection, as well as a titanium crowbar and highway hooligan, toys around with different traps and weapons, but always keeps a pocket knife on hand if he can.
Background: Jacky Paper was born the son of two Ren-Fair class geeks in Kansas City, Kansas, right after one left the other on the altar. Ouch. Since then, his life has been nothing but 'what the hell' moments, ranging from blowing up wolf spider nests with his friends, to getting repeatedly shot in the hip by his step father, to accidentally killing a man who tried to run him over for telling a store owner when the man stole a watch. Jacky once had a dog named Puff, but when the dog died, he decided to just pretend the dog had been replaced by a dragon. He knew the dragon wasn't real, but talking to an imaginary dragon when nobody was looking was better than talking to air when no one was looking.
Multiple people thought he had mental, emotional, and anger issues (which he really didn't), and diagnosed him with everything from ADHD to aspergers to schizophrenzia (a good bit of which weren't even real *cough*ADHD*cough*). Jacky was put on multiple different cocktails of antidepression and chemical imbalance curing 'medicines', all of which would actually give him the issues they were supposed to cure, and then some! When that didn't work, Jacky was sent to multiple different psychologists, which eventually lead to his fear of psychologists, and of anyone who wanted to know anything about him. Asking Jacky his name would get someone garbage canned. Jacky bought himself an XboX when he was young, but his parents decided that the games he was playing (HALO, Splinter cell, COD) were what was causing his anger (even though they had been lessening his anger and the nonexistent issues had 'started' long before he got the XboX) and then went on a string of groundings, disallowing video games, after school activities, camping trips, and the use of light bulbs.
Jacky found solace in drawing in a leather sketchbook his mother had given him right before she died of breast cancer and anemia, but that ended when a doberman bit his arm, severing most of the nerves in his wrist and making it hard to draw. He then got himself a laptop, and since then has earned most of his money typing stories, newspaper articles, and poems for children.
Of course, his life being full of 'what the hell moments', Jacky just had to start randomly producing arcane energy from his dreams, and pissing off pretty much everyone in Chicago who had a gun when he saved a group of teenagers who were about to be killed by a drug dealer.

    Garth Smith

    Age: 34
    Race: Mostly Human, partial dragon
    Class: Warrior
    Alignment: Lawful Good

Description: He's a very tall and broad looking man. He has brown hair and slightly brown, amber, somewhat reptilian eyes. He's usually smiling and in a good mood. He can also be seen wearing simple clothes.

Equipment: A large broadsword and several pouches to carry rations and other things he may need to.

Powers: The only powers he has is being slightly stronger than normal and being able to cover himself in strong, golden dragon scales.

Backstory: Garth was born of mixed parenthood in a small farming town out in some forgotten land. While his mother was human his father was five eighths of a dragon making Garth five sixteenths of a dragon. He had a good and normal childhood until a red dragon destroyed his town because they wouldn't or couldn't pay a tribute of money to him. This happened while he was at the age of eight years. He was able to escape but was left an orphan. After traveling alone for a few months he was eventually taken in by an orphanage and was raised there for the next seven years. After that he joined the military and fought in two different wars over the period of the next eight years. He then left not liking how the military could be so callous at times and just leave conquered areas to die. Garth joined a dragon hunting group but left after a few years not liking the way they did business. He then spent seven years adventuring but mainly focused on ways to improve himself and hunt down dragons. He then found his way to the Nexus and joined GLoG and has been here ever since.

    Alkania Leah Danir
    AKA
Anchor, Hunter, Message, Allie, 'that kid who stole my glasses'

    Message is the original.
Hunter is the first human creation of the original, and has gotten pretty different. She might be said to have more of a connection to their original soul.
Leah is the robot clone of the original, who was incorporated into Message shortly after coming online because they were so alike.
Anchor is the replacement of the undead monstrosity made out of the original's body.

Hunter, Leah, and Anchor agree that they're sisters, with Zophiel their mother, Cleo their father, and Message their Self.
Their favored weapon is any sword so large it should be 3-handed.

Alkania Leah Danir also known as Message
    Gender: Feminine
    Race: ???
Age: That's complicated. No more than 70 years. Ascended 12 October, 2014 equivalent

    Class: Rogue, Ferryman.

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show
Alkania was born not long enough ago to a cursed Cleosepha Danir and Zophiel, and promptly stolen away to another dimension by faeries.
She was rescued, in what was longer to her than to the rescuers, but it wasn't long after that her family split up. Her mother had to return to her own world, and her father was occupied aiding a dear friend at the ocean, which Alkania could barely approach.
When the noble (Vaan) who had given them shelter died* the Glass-Blood War, the child Alkania ended up living on the streets with a band of intelligent lizards and malfunctioning machines. They lived off petty crime, complementing each others' needs.

When things went wrong and no amount of batteries or recalibration could help one of her mechanical friends, she took them to the GLoG, where she became a member for a while, learning to heal people. Then her idol Reinholdt left, and after an argument with Quinn, she had no reason to stay.
It was earlier that she had met a creature of shadow that took her through time and worlds, and gave her a way to extend her life and live once again at normal speeds.
It was even earlier that she had participated in a mission to protect some far off place she'd never heard of, and Alkania first killed someone.
She was one of the powers who answered Aequitus's prayers and led to the founding of AEGIS, where she was a member as long as it was active.

Then she was shot by a sniper, and she died.
    It didn't keep.

Vaan did everything. I wouldn't be alive if not for her. And I wouldn't be a functioning person without the working she did to modify my timestream. She protected me from the nanobots, gave us a place to live, let me learn music with Merhin...it was the worst day of my life when she left. Sure, being kidnapped was probably awful, but I was too young to remember that. And the nanobots did a number on mother, I never really knew her, and she didn't remember me. That really broke Dad up, but it didn't mean anything to me.

Anyway, Vaan left. Our house, all of our friends (mine, anyway) went as well. She's dead now, the Ice Sun told me. Merhin at least is still alive, in her homeworld. I still miss them both, each day. Dad wasn't there. He couldn't get over mom's departure and...something else. She seemed tormented by guilt, but at what I never knew. She spent her days in a cave, looking out over the sea, barely bothering to eat. I couldn't help her, I was so young then. So I left. I found a little Raitan creature, a robot, and with it and a young lizard from a church nearby and a few older street kids, we were off. They needed food, Kes needed sun to charge its panels, and I only needed them, the bright feelings and the lies. We lived well for months, with Kes's knowledge and my powers. Then Kes went funny, and I left them to try to get her repaired. I couldnt' keep watch by her in the sun enough, so she went into hibernation, and I nearly starved away from my friends. But I got Kes repaired at this League, and met other people, and found Dad again. She was better, but we were strangers now. I couldn't stay.

    Charities
    • The Mask - A covering for the face. The sunglasses, stolen from Arina, which can be touched by solid people even when the wearer is incorporeal, but are incredibly painful to normal people. Leah wears these.
    • The Ring - Anchor. A decorative item. The original was a small stuffed animal toy, a red fox used as bait for Tenjin's hunters.
    • The Wand - Leah. The symbol of a diplomat. The original was a ghostly scythewalking stick. This multipurpose tool can be used to stand on, poke things, hit things, and more. Hunter has this.
    • The Cup - Hunter. What contains and defines. The original was Shadow's ghost ring, which slowed her timescale, let her transform, let her drain people more quickly and treat a wider range of things as 'emotions'. The ring itself is back in Leah's hands, but temporally tangled.
    • The Blade - A weapon, an instrument of harm. Firme, which appears with who it is needed.
    • The Pen - An inspiration, a muse.
    • The Torch - A shining thing. What is it for? Unclaimed and lost.
    • The Glass - Unearned
    • The Map - Unearned
    • The Fruit - Unknown

    Leah Danir
    Sex: Female
Race: Earthly fae tiger-human-tauric-pattern, Wand Radiance
Age: Supposed to be between Hunter and Alkania in age, she looks to be out of youth, but not close to old.
Alignment: Red and White / Neutral Good
    Class: Rogue
    Power Rating: C
Description: Strong. Not body-builder levels of size, but with the muscles of someone who works physically on a regular basis, which she does. She bears quite a resemblance to her mother Zophiel. To most humans she's pretty; all her details and proportions line up exactly right. Big Bright Blue eyes with epicanthic folds. High cheekbones, strong chin, and a pointed nose.
Her chest is kept within the normal-small scale so she doesn't run into the issue of a certain antlered changeling and require heavy bindings.
Her new coat is a bit bizarre, still bearing her trademark black color, but also some bright white as well. Her lower body is most of a white tiger, meaning everything but the head, which is where her human upper body is. A quick, fine steed for a noble knight, even if the execution is a bit...odd. If she had anything in her pockets, she'll find it/them instead in a pouch or two hanging from a belt attached around where her halves meet.
Her skin is paler than before, deepening from white where it meets her fur. Her hair is back, hanging down to shoulders, it's black with only one or two little white 'highlights.' It's a bit bristly, like horsehair. Her ears are big and fuzzy and more like a zebra's than anything else.

Personality: Tries to be kind, and to handle her lashing pride and temper. In time, she's come untangled, at peace and living up to her throwing knife. But she can still be overconfident and rash.
Backstory: After Alkania died, her mind was restored from backup by Kestrel, and the machine-shadow body became Leah. Leah was later reincarnated by Pat, in magical flesh instead of machinery. She founded a city. Started a religion, centered on her Self. Fell in love with her boyfriend. Built Message's angels. Fought BC's army. Unearthed a factory. Took on a Page, Koshal, who soon became a squire.

    • .55 pistol, five shots between reloads
    • A minigun with gold-plated barrels, a red-painted body and the words 'Bullet Time!' stencilled on the shoulder strap
    • A tiny single-shot pincap pistol (3 rounds available)
    • A silver morningstar enchanted to create a small sonic boom when it lands a blow. Used to shatter the Godruped's golem-body.
    • 99 bolt-action 5.53 rifles.
    • 98 9mm automatic pistols.
    • Many checkered or grey shirts
    • A gasmask and two spare filters.
    • Magic-deflecting virage-claw gauntlets.
    • A crisp new black jacket. Similar to Mist's in color scheme, but cut in leather instead of cloth like his. It should be her size, and if not, very close to it. It's clearly had a lot of time and attention into making it. It has hidden sheathes for at least six small knives or darts, plus a pair of lockpicks or pins in the collar. I know you don't have much experience with this, but the guy offered to do it, so I thought it was neat. You could always stick pens and stuff in them if you decide these aren't for you."
It's one in each sleeve, and four hidden in the lining of the torso, two at sternum level and two below that.
    • A small wooden box containing a lightly curved, elegant knife, balanced perfectly for throwing. Engraved on the blade is: 信託
    • the Fox-King's goblet (how he holds it, nobody knows). It's gold, bejeweled, and probably has a tooth mark or two in it
    • The Treasures of the Skull:
    • Recently refurbished old fabrics and clothing, all high-quality stuff. There's a few crates of jewellery, a box of jasper statues wrapped in 1920s newspapers, a small box of uncut emeralds and a large, antique aluminium plate from the 1880s. The statues range in size from an inch-high dog to a three foot tall naked dancing girl.
    • Several crates of ammunition.
    • A variety of high-quality clothing
    • 93 coins carved from marble
    • The Skull's Command Crown
    • A new outfit consisting of a blue henley shirt, a slightly fancy short caparison, and a scarf not generally in style at Skullfort.
    • A little ring made of polished black stone. Etched into it is the symbol that ended up on Mist's pin for Leah's aspect.

    Spoiler: Abilities
    Show

Secrets of Creation: Leah can create almost-living beings and matter out of shadow and feeling. She has learned to create generic matter, of any sort she can understand. It is unstable and slowly dissolves in light.
Extra: Leah is vaguely aware that she is a fictional character and can break the fourth wall when it is appropriate and non-bothersome to other players.
Thanks, Pat: Also, while alive, this body is very much magic, and should register to anyone knowledgeable about such things as a Fey's body. This does have the advantage of meaning that she can eat whatever she likes, but won't have to worry about input/output (which should save her from trying to maneuver around bathrooms). Neither does she have to breathe to stay conscious.

    Spoiler: A day
    Show

It starts like any other day for Leah at the Skullfort.

Wake up, get ready for the day, including exercises and then cleaning. Practice marksmanship (stationary targets, moving targets, both while you're moving, etc.), then creation ex nihilo, then melee combat with swords. Go get your squire for the second half of the swordsmanship lessons. Even if you can't teach him the footwork there's a lot of ground to cover. Make sure you don't forget the knifework, or make a mistake since daggers are pretty new to you and you're really learning as you go. Then on to speaking and remote piloting. Go down to the inn and meet your foxfriend for lunch. Back at home, research, poring over books and articles and Kestrel's vast archives - cut your research short to help in the workshop (there's been a problem with one of the experimental new messenger systems), scanning the reports from the observatory on the way over. Commune with your Self so Hunter has access to what you've learned. Check in at the town: temple, inn, rookery. Chastise that brightly colored centaur kid for starting another fight. Help wake up a farmer who was oversynchronized with the peaceflowers. Put on your exosuit and go visit your daughter. Rush back to lead your squire in evening lessons. Help the high priestess with some obscure doctrinal concerns she's dug up. Go to bed; you need a good night's sleep to properly enter the dreamlands and -

Oh. That's the whole day already, isn't it?
    Maybe tomorrow.

    Hunter, usually known as Hunter
    Sex: Female
Race: Earthly Fae Human-pattern, Cup Radiance
Age: She says she's the oldest, but looks young? Maybe 20 years old. No fewer than 16, surely. And no more than 50.
    Alignment: Green / Lawful Neutral
Class: Ranger. She's even got the animal companion in the form of a pitch black fox.
    Power Rating: C
Description: Hunter is tall, stringy, almost always wearing a suit of futuristic black armor.
She's a human-seeming woman. She's got spiky black hair, pale skin, grey eyes extremely cool sunglasses, and no wings at all. She's wearing black cargo pants, a checkered shirt, blue jacket, and combat boots. Also wearing a live snake as a scarf. Plus an actual black-and-white-striped scarf because the snake would get cold. Her fingernails are a translucent gold.
Personality: Confident, even arrogant, Hunter revels in life. Every hunt, every new design, every bitter defeat or thrilling victory is another reason to live. Generous in a showy way; she can afford it.
Backstory: After Alkania died, the energy of the Cup lingered in her backup armor, and brought it to life as Hunter. She sings, she hunts, she creates monsters.

    Spoiler: Equipment
    Show

    • Super Virage Sword. A hilt made of the beast's chitin. The swords summon blades of plasma energy that match the kind that the Super Virage had used and can even resize to the type of blade the wielder prefers. The energy blade is quite powerful and can even cut through most body armors with ease. The blades flare up brighter and more strongly when the person wielding them is confronting something draconic: in that case, they'll cut through dragon hide like a hot chainsword through butter.
    • Gem of Burning Light: An artifact of an evil light god whose exact powers she hasn't bother to work out. The gem has quite a few Light-domain powers, including the abilities to grant and deny light - It protects her constructs from dissolving in the sunlight.
    • Transporter: Short range, line-of-sight only. Still amazingly useful.
    • A macuahuitl with lumps of green Tamrielic Glass instead of obsidian, enchanted to drain life and energy.
    • A boxy linear accelerator type rifle attached to a power/coolant backpack and a box of small iron slugs. There is ".30 C" stamped prominently onto the rifle. 5 gram projectile, ludicrously fast. About as bad as a small explosive.
    • A .650 Tenjin hunter elephant cannon.
    • 2 chrono-grenades, which, when activated, have a fifteen second fuse before erecting a temporary stasis field around the target, freezing it in place.
    • A pair of yellow gauntlets with built-in 12-gauge shotguns that go off when the wearer punches something
    • 1 anti-magic grenade-orbs
    • A black rubber one-piece with lightweight, yet powerful, kevlar pads protecting the torso and limbs. It's stretchy enough that it'll fit practically any body shape.
    • A gasmask and two spare filters.
    • A bandoleer that can integrate with the rubber suit but could also be used alone. A pair of sleek, black plastic-fibre boots
    • Delta-87 Hard Light Knife - Oddly balanced with more weight towards the butt of it rather than the blade, but when she activates the Hard Light edge with the little blue tab that's under the hilt, she'll find the reason for the odd weight being that it counteracts the ever-so-slight tug towards the point that it now has, giving it a good balance. The weight of the entire blade itself isn't so unusual despite being slightly on the heavy side at a couple pounds, but that would make sense considering that it seemed to be made out of a metal that feels denser than steel. With the weightless blade of light and the heavier grip, it definitely allows the wielder a great amount of control over the knife.

If she flicks the red tab that's next to the blue, the "sheath" of metal will slide up, materializing around the hard light edge and turning the entire blade metal with only slight change in weight. The entire effect is seamless, making it look like there was never a different edge to begin with and it sure seems to be solid.

    Sandstone - The mountain dragon

    ??? - The snake
    Spoiler: Abilities
    Show

When she wishes to, she can sprout four inch long talons on each of her fingers made of the very same Hard Light that Delta-87's knives had.
Secrets of Creation: Hunter can create living and almost-living beings out of shadow and feeling. She can also create unliving matter in much the same way. The simpler the easier.
Understudy: Hunter is aware that she is a fictional character and can narrate and break the fourth wall when it is appropriate and non-bothersome to other players.
Dream-Eater: Hunter feeds on feelings and emotional qualities, generally fear and excitement.
    Evocation: Extradimensional storage.
Relevant Metaphors: Hunter can treat her life like certain styles of storytelling or game when useful and such silliness is appropriate, such as to travel by map.
Telepathic Symbionts: "There's symbiotic bacteria in its mouth and brain, however, that grant it full telepathy, making it the third true telepathic species discovered within the British Stellar Empire." They're spread through bites, travelling to the brain where they help grow new connections and synapses that provide the telepathy, though it's limited to other telepathic creatures.
The Conductor (as it calls its species, 'Conductors of the World-Song') sings a lonely, haunting tune that sounds like part of a much greater song with all the other parts left out.
It's by very careful nips that a young Conductors are introduced to the World-Song of their planet, introducing the telepathic bacteria into its bloodstream and from there, its brain and mouth.
Ears are still useful, though, because most creatures on a planet of telepaths evolve the ability to mask their minds or project their thoughts somewhere else, otherwise the predators would never catch anything because the prey would feel their minds approach, but also the predators would never fail in finding their prey as they'd hear their minds. The symbiotic bacteria will spread around Hunter's body, I don't know how long it'll take, but they won't stop until they reach her brain where they'll redirect some synapses and similar brain-y things. It should be harmless, though it may cause something unexpected.

10 - The wurm is called.
    9 - The wurm approaches.
    8 - The wurm approaches.
    7 - The wurm approaches.
6 - Slight tremors in the ground.
5 - The ground shakes faintly.
4 - The ground shakes noticeably.
3 - The ground shakes wildly, small creatures flee.
2 - The earth bulges and ripples as the wurm tunnels closer
1 - The ground is ripped apart as it heads towards the target.
0 - The wurm emerges from beneath the earth, hopefully eating someone right away.

    Spoiler: Race
    Show

The Fae were native creatures of the seventh planet in their solar system, which had a rather larger star than the nexus usually does.
The Earthly fae were those who adapted to urban, civilized life alongside humanity. The Outer fae were those who left the planet rather than change. In a war much later, the Outer fae came to kill, enslave and oppress the majority of the population of Earthly fae.
They are possessed of two types of natural magic, called glamour and grammar.
The fae are harmed by the touch of various refined metals. Outer fae are particularly vulnerable to iron due to ancient grammar-works. Similarly, salt has mythic significance against them.

These fae are acutely aware of their position in the universe, and they are graded by their ability to decide the story around them, which can rise and fall with time and growth. The least are Extras. With no narrative powers at all, they can, by circumstance or the actions of others, reach a higher level.
Above them are Understudies, who are aware of the their nature and can observe but rarely alter.
Agents can freely alter their own story and details.
Primes can freely change themselves, and have some narrative control over those below them.
Authors have nearly perfect control over the world around them. They can declare the thoughts and actions of even non-fae beings, and it will be so.
The Hierophant is not a quality, but a position. There would normally only be one, but the Terrestrial fae and the Outer fae have both successfully empowered a Hierophant.
They are defined somewhat by their possessions.
The Earthly fae are almost universally predators, where the Outer fae are more detached.

Any being with 3+ Charities, is considered by them to be a fae.
The seven common Charities are the Glass, the Staff, the Blade, the Map, the Cup, the Pen, and the Ring.
A number of Charities are mutually exclusive and generally associated with a location: The Mask of the fae homeworld, the Wheel of interplanetary space, the Spindle of the Nexus, etc.
Uncommon Charities include the Fruit and the Torch
Reflect and Learn - The Glass
    Interact - The Staff
    Take - The Blade
    Understand - The Map
    Define - The Cup
    Inspire - The Pen
    Gratify - The Ring

    ??? - The Torch

    Spoiler: Creatures
    Show

Pterosaurs, the largest ones, for flying on.
    Pterebou, getting stranger than that.
Chaithers - Catlike, with eyes along their sides. Three heads with a single large eye each, basically an extension of their long necks. Two pairs each of fangs and many tearing teeth. Very quick-moving.
Chaistans - Hooved, six-legged things related to the above, but more docile. Two heads, one on each side, with an eye on the top and bottom.
Peaceflowers - Actual living plants that generate an aura of tranquility, larger the more are gathered together.
    Message-orbs - A cybernetic shell to house an angel-spirit.

    Spoiler: Story
    Show
This is a collection of stories about the futility of power and learning to find an acceptable place in the world. Leah cannot fix everything, but has managed to make a home. She's haunted by memories of helplessness, guilt that if she had somehow been better, she could have protected her friends, or helped her father. She has this belief that she has 'paid for' her life already, but that's not enough to keep her satisfied. A lot is possible: flight, guiding peoples' thoughts, raise castles out of the air, creating something very like to life. She is beginning to understand that she doesn't need to understand.

    Spoiler: Places
    Show

    The Faen, the Secondland, Fairyland.

Whatever you're going to call it. What might be called a True World, it rests on the border between Terra and the Rainbow Dreamlands. It is a varied place, a highly morphic plane where time is flexible and the world itself possibly alive. A good deal of the population are fae. The fae's children and creations who might one day ascend are below them, quite numerous. You might think that the amount of fae would grow nearly monotonically, and you might be right. Not enough time has elapsed to be quite sure. But consider all those who are killed, absorbed, or disperse themselves to become one with the world. Then there are cattle. Perhaps they don't really need to feed on human dreams. But they do. There are at least three humans/merfolk/whathaveyou for each proper fae, often a great deal more.

Race/Species: Human. However, a shard Bastyb, The Cat Spirit is hidden in his soul. Should it's power truly be unlocked, his power would be nearly divine.

    Age: Unknown (Physically 27)

Alignment: Lawful. However, Nicholas hovers between Good and Neutrality.

    Profession: Detective.

    Power Level: C+/B-

Personality: At times calm and collected, at others rushed and quick, Tyb is just as likely to think long and hard as to rush to the rescue of a loved one. He is generally independant, but shows great loyalty towards the few he trusts.

Equipment: Beyond his clothes, forensic equipment, a Notepad and a trusty
.44 Magnum, Tyb carries little with him.

Abilities: Tyb has the spped and agility of a cat. He can land any fall, outfight and outrun your average man. His vision is excellent and, at times he can even dodge bullets. His nails are sharp and clawlike.

Backstory: Tyb woke up one morning without any memories except a strange love of cats, superhuman abilities and a mission to bring down crime in all it's forms. Though his body is 27, he knows his mind is far, far older

    Jack

Aliases: Jack Empty, the Yochanan, Valeyria

    Gender: Male

    Race: Human

Age: Millenia. At least in body.

    Alignment: True Neutral/Neutral Evil

    Class: Wizard

    Power Rating: B-, C+

    Description:

Jack is a mildly handsome man who's recently shaved his whole head bald. It would appear his dome is now scrawled over with ancient alien symbols. He's Late thirties or early forties, at most. Slightly taller than average. A jagged, ugly scar runs up his wrist and away into his sleeve. Some others are visible elsewhere, one in particular dancing up his forehead and cutting a patch out of his scalp. His eyes are a bright grey.

Personality: Jack is a new man. He was, up till last year, a powerful sorcerer with a cruel personality. After an incident addressed below, he lost his memories, and transformed from a horror into a human again. He's a strange creature, an eccentric with a broken mind. What remained of his old personality recently jumped ship as a 'tulpa', a creature formed from a man's thoughts. That certainly hasn't helped his stability.

Equipment: He doesn't carry much with him. The important bits are:

-The Liar's Note, one of (2)538 indestructible Objects that litter the Multiverse, and are destined to eventually bring it to an end. Or at least, that's how the legend goes. Those who search after these objects are simply called 'Seekers'. The Note, upon being read, forces the reader to trust the Note's user, giving a reason why and then making them believe it.
-Maybe another of the Objects, one of the ones that don't grant any inherent or immediate abilities.
    -A pen and some paper.

    Abilities:

-Magical might, including advanced Void or Mind-related magic, amongst other things. Many of his abilities are explained by some form of magic or dark deal. Though he's likely unwilling to use most of it these days.
-Access to the Yellow Road, a pandimensional realm that transcends space and time. Through it, he can teleport, open portals, and perform similar manipulations of what we call 'reality'. He can't use it in quick succession anymore.
-Skill with a wide variety of weaponry from all ages.

Backstory: There's lots of legends about Jack. Some fools stories, no more believable than a bad vampire novel. Others... well, you could definitely peg Jack Empty in there somewhere. One tells of the Devourer, Edo Edi Essum, as he smote across the Multiverse in the elder days. It's said one of the original Demons stole a piece of foul Edo, dragging it down into the Abyss and forging it into some horrible semblance of mortal man.

Another says Jack was the leader of a cult, meant to worship the Void between worlds. He gained power, over time, but in turn lost his soul to the darkness.

Another, a theory proposed by some of the finest Seekers ever to transcend the trials, is perhaps the most believable. It tells of He Who Seeks for Power, Jack's alleged title in the ancient Minoan civlization. An equally fine Seeker, who brought prosperity to his people and admiration from his peers. He became a king, says the legend. He was madly in love, with a family on the way. He Sought often, hunted the strange Objects and fought off their madness. But, with their potential for destruction, there were some Objects that Jack refused to gather.

Of course, it's in Their nature to be brought together, so They decided to motivate him. The will of the Objects destroyed everything that was dear to him. But the loss simply broke him, rather than drive him forward as They had intended. A terrible darkness began to grow in the rift where his soul had been. He became unfit to Reunite the Objects. And so, like They always do, the Objects chose somebody else. Thus the hollow void inside grew unchecked, consumed him, molded him.

Jack continued to Seek madly for a time, waiting for the day when the Objects would all be brought together, turning ally against ally and bringing strife to the earthly realms. But not long after he came to the Nexus, something began to change inside of him. He began to see, truly, what the void had done and how control it had wrested from him. Only Jack knew its origins, and only he knew how to destroy it before his will was lost entirely - he had to become human again. After all these years, he was the furthest thing from human a creature could be.

He got his wish, but at the price of his memory. He lost his knowledge of the apocalyptic artifacts known as the Objects, along with just about everything else that mattered. The witch who granted this wish let him keep his powers, however - an even trade as any. He lost his only reaosn to exist, but at least he regained control. That was the imporant part. Right?

Even this 'solution' didn't solve his problem entirely. The Void Inside had become too strong and independent, had formed its own mind. Two distinct beings, sharing space inside Jack's mostly vacant brain. Two Jacks. It was a painful paradox for both of them. The Void jumped ship at its first opportunity, taking what remained of Jack's (in)sanity with it, and he was glad to be rid of his dark side.

Jack has never been a very nice man. Despite his memory loss, he still feels that he must atone for what he's done. Hence his residency at the Nexus organization called GLoG. There he hopes to make good use of this new life that's been thrust upon him, no matter how far it deviates from his old schemes. Or at least, that's what he says. You never do know with Jack.

    Default Re: Nexus Character Directory

    Reinholdt

Alias: Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire; Destroyer of Worlds; the Dangerously Insane
    Gender: Male
    Race: Cat, human, catman, worm
    Class: Thief/Sniper

Description: He's a Russian Blue cat with a penchant for treasure and occasional mischief. Often changes shape through various means not normally available to him, sometimes against his will. A common one is that of a flaming hawt human whose origins can be traced back centuries to Prince Kaelaroth Maschin of Magtok-Armennia.

Personality: He outright earned the name Dangerously Insane. Originally a nihilist of extreme measures, he has since changed his views and now largely just wants to stay out of everyone's way while trying to do what he can to make up for what he's done. Once a self-proclaimed pacifist, he still prefers to avoid violence whenever he can, if for no other reason than the fact he's usually on the losing side of such confrontations. Largely unstable, he's been through such issues like split personalities, amnesia, talking to people who aren't there, building himself wish-fulfillment friends, masochism, trying to destroy the multi-verse, suicidal depression and more. Unusually resilient, however, he has managed to shake all but the masochism and the depression which tends to cling to him like moss to a tree.

    Equipment and Abilities:
Has a variety of equipment he keeps in a hammer space and uses magic to access. How else do you expect cats to carry these type of things? He's an excellent shot, particularly with a sniper rifle, though has avoided touching one for some time now. He has a few illusion spells and can turn pink to fly thanks to a hazardous encounter with some will-o-wisps.

Backstory: Lengthy. Probably best to find out the normal way. I'd also recommend reading the ACRO digest.

The current "official" Reinholdt is actually a clone Magtok made in hopes of gathering information to use against Calublufiok. He was not actually there during the infamous Apoca-Con incident and loathes the thought of what Reinholdt Prime did. Like all Reinholdts, he was responsible for Shepherd's existence and often has to face that fact and his subsequent shooting of his son on a daily basis. Occasionally designated as Reinholdt C. to represent his clone status and separate him from the others.

    Reinholdt Prime

Alias: Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire; Destroyer of Worlds; the Dangerously Insane
    Gender: Male
    Race: Cat, human, catman, worm
    Class: Thief/Sniper

Much the same as above with a few exceptions:

Personality: Due to Astir's influence, his intelligence has been greatly increased at the cost of being incredibly corrupted. He is obsessed with making this world safe from threats like Magtok and eliminating sin while hypocritically wallowing in it, unaware of just how twisted his views are.

Equipment and Abilities: He has the faded domain of life granted to him by Astir and held in a ghostlike state ironically by Shepherd. This gives him minor control of vermin and plantlife, a healing factor, and healing capabilities, though their power has been greatly reduced since Astir's time.

Backstory: Largely the same as above due to the fact that Reinholdt M split from Reinholdt Prime just weeks before the Apoca-Con. After gassing the people at the Apoca-Con to remove their sapience, he formed Astir's Kingdom, assaulted the Magcave and temporarily killed Magtok, though lost his life in the process, ensuring Astir's Kingdom would never get off the ground. Spent a great deal of time in Hell before visited by Furiel, an emissary of Shepherd's and sent back to ACRO for the purpose of bringing Shepherd back to life.

    Deceased
Alias: Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire; Destroyer of Worlds; the Dangerously Insane
    Gender: Male
    Race: Cat, human, catman, worm
    Class: Thief/Sniper

Much the same as the first with the following exceptions:

Personality: Due to Eve's influence, he gained a fair amount of enlightenment but his attributes good and bad were increased. He grew far more timid and scared than usual and earned the nickname the Meek, having almost lost the ability to talk altogether.

Backstory: A simulacram created by Reinholdt Prime and left in GLoG to retrieve what he considered to be his Brightheart, he was away when Astir first corrupted Reinholdt Prime so remained more himself than Reinholdt Prime did. Until Jedwiga gave him a pomegranate of knowledge that is, changing him and enhancing his traits, particularly his timidness. He opposed the Apoca-Con, providing the information necessary for an antidote. When he was finally free from Reinholdt Prime due to the later's death, he went to the Prima Materia plane and started working to recreate some of the worlds he had destroyed. In the process however, he created not only Calublufiok, but his own world and ancestors as well, inadvertently creating a time loop.

    Vampire Rot

Alias: Vampire Rot. No, its not a real name, but that's what he calls himself
    Gender: Male
    Race/Species: Formerly human, he's now a vampire.
Age: He's lost track. He's pretty fricken old though.
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil
    Class/Profession: Generic fighter guy/Undead monstrosity
Power Rating: Much stronger then your average human and very good at killing, but he has no magicks.
Description: My avatar. But... Going from the top down: His hair is coal black and a bit ragged. His skin is ash gray and his eyes are completely red (as in his irises, pupils, and the whites are all blood red). His mouth is adorned with two large fangs that poke out from under his lip, always. There is a metal plate, shiny, chrome, and spiky, protecting the left side of his chest and his heart. On his back is a pair of large, bat-like wings that he can use to fly, which are now adorned with spiky metal plates that strangely do not upset his flight. He can hide the wings at will. Rot is usually dressed in stereotypical vampire clothes, which consist of a large-collared velvet cape and fancy black suit. His boots are iron and studded.
Personality: Vampire Rot is almost completely insane. His personality can change at the drop of a coin, from sadistic and sarcastic to blood-thirsty and violent. He dislikes everything in general.. His favorite pastime is making people miserable, whether it be by mocking them or torturing them. Usually, his aggressiveness grows the longer he has gone without eating people, though he'll still happily kill things even if he just ate.
Equipment: A black Hello Kthulhu umbrella that protects him from the sun. He has a black magic sword, which is enchanted to protect him from holy water and garlic, as well as to teleport back to his hand if loss. It has been further augmented to let him suck blood through it. He wears the stereotypical vampires clothes, and also keeps a lot of hatchets handy for lobbing at people.

The vampire live on, and cannot die by mere passing of the time, he can flourish when that he can fatten on the blood of the living. But he cannot flourish without this diet, he eat not as others… He throws no shadow, he make in the mirror no reflect… He has the strength of many of his hand… He can transform himself to wolf… he can be as bat…He can come in mist which he create… but, from what we know, the distance he can make this mist is limited, and it can only be round himself. He can come on moonlight rays as elemental dust… He can become so small… he can slip through a hairbreadth space… He can, when once he find his way, come out from anything or into anything, no matter how close it be bound or even fused up with fire, solder you call it. He can see in the dark, no small power this, in a world which one half shut from the light…
He can do all these things, yet he is not free. Nay, he is even more prisoner than the slave of the galley, the madman in his cell. He cannot go where he lists, he who is not of nature has yet to obey some of nature’s law, why we know not. He may not enter anywhere at the first, unless there be some one of the household who bid him to come, though afterwards he can come as he please… Thus, whereas he can do as he will within his limit, when he have his earth-home, his coffin-home, his hell-home, the place unhallowed… It is said, too, that he can only pass running water at the slack or the flood of the tide. Then there are things which so afflict him that he has no power, as the garlic that we know of, and as for things sacred, as this symbol, this crucifix… to them he is nothing, but in their presence he take his place far off and silent with respect. There are others, too... The branch of wild rose on his coffin keep him that he move not from it, a sacred bullet fired into the coffin kill him so that he be true dead, and as for the stake through him, we know already of its peace, or the cut off head that giveth rest.
Thus when we find the habitation of this man-that-was, we can confine him to his coffin and destroy him, if we obey what we know.

Backstory: Rot was probably bitten by a vampire when he was around 26 or so. How long ago that was is completely unknown, as he is ageless now and suffers from long (very long) term amnesia. Most of his pre-Nexus memories are broken or locked away. Apparently, he had a wife at one point, and killed her.

Kill Count: 6 (Any PCs killed, regardless of whether or not they come back *shakes fist at Nexus*)

    Turtle Brightember

    Gender: Female
    Race: Shapeshifter
    Age: 20
    Class: Barbarian/Sorceress
    Power Rating: B-C
    Affiliation: WATCHTOWER and MagIndustries

Turtle is a dimensional analogue of Happy Blackdust Amakirr, but with a few important differences. She didn't have a murderous mother, evil uncle, necromantic sister, or adorable henchpixie. She never had an affair with Dr Horrible. She doesn't have an apocalyptic prince in her family tree. She has only met Fan Amakirr briefly, once. Her sorcery is stronger than Happy's, and her melee combat skills weaker. Her eyes are green rather than brown, and she's a few years younger. Her hands are sometimes in the form of reptilian claws when she has trouble controlling her shapeshifting.

She works for Magtok on occasion, and is a member of WATCHTOWER, though her player's aversion to combat scenes tends to make Turtle conspicuously absent when she would be most useful.

She knows of her famous lookalike and tries to avoid meeting her. Because, you know... AWKWARD...

All the differences between Turtle and Happy stem from one point of divergence. In Turtle's world, Uncle Raven died as a boy. So Turtle wasn't physically abused trained as a warrior, and no one ever discovered that her mother was poisoning the other woman in her father's life. Miranda died without ever giving birth to Rabbit. Turtle's mother Yvette lived, and trained her daughter in sorcery, which is why she's stronger as a sorceress and weaker as a combat fighter than her dimensional analogue.

After developing an alter-ego to spy on AMEN, Turtle discovered that she rather liked being Darcy Diavolo. And it was nice not being mistaken for Happy. And she developed some fondness and loyalty towards some of the members of AMEN. Slowly her internal identity is merging with Darcy's.

    Mainframe

    Race: Artificial Intelligence
    Gender: None
    Alignment: None
    Affiliation: GLoG and MagIndustries
Offensive Power Rating: Mainframe is only capable of combat in its chassis, which is power level C-B
Defensive Power Rating: Nearly indestructible due to having numerous backups of itself

Mainframe of GLoG was originally designed by Tessa to run the GLoG base and control the drones, and was given the primary function of safeguarding members. It accidentally gained sentience when it was possessed for a brief time by the consciousness of a comatose Happy. Since then, its programming has been meddled with by Czernov, Magtok, Darkcomet, Miss Kale, and probably a few others. It's somewhat paranoid and witnessing the harm of any GLoG members tends to destabilize it.

Before the GLoG base was destroyed, Mainframe backed itself up into the MagPuter system, Magtok having gained the computer's trust while he was a member. Since then, it generally follows Magtok's orders, though it still attempts to follow its primary function.

Mainframe has several versions of itself active at any one time. Occasionally the different versions are able to exchange data and merge memories.

Mainframe - primary personality residing in the MagPuter system. Can operate MagSat as well as Magtok's telewarp network, as well as communicate with most MagClones.

pMainframe - a portable version of Mainframe that is trimmed of unnecessary data and functions to allow it to fit on a usb key or in the spare memory of a single Magtok brain

Mainframebot - a physical chassis for Mainframe, created by Miss Kale, which has enough memory for full featured Mainframe to reside in. This copy of Mainframe is generally synced up with the primary personality. Destroyed by Reinholdt Prime. Rebuilt, then destroyed by Rae.

As Mainframe settles in, the body slackens slightly, loosing the robotic rigidity as the limbs unlock, ready for use. The systems onboard are extensive but easily used, and the weapons require unlocking before each use, protecting against unintentional firing. What's more, the targeting bank allows for marking specific targets as friendly, which can be toggled with the targeting systems to disable weapons should they be pointed at a friendly. All of the current GLoG members are already marked friendly.

All that aside, the body is surprisingly light weight. And more importantly, extremely mobile. It has a wide array of scanning equipment, allowing Mainframe to hear, see, smell, taste, feel, and a good half dozen other senses. She can also talk through a vocal emitter mounted in the head. And even more important, her eyes are able to change color depending on her mood! =D Right now they are a gentle blue.

The weapons system is impressive, but comes at a cost. Mainframe's body is protected by a relatively thin armor to save on precious weight. Still strong enough to protect against most attacks, but sustained abuse will prove damaging. Also, there are subtle kill switches and overrides for use of Miss Kale, just in case the body malfunctions. Or she wants absolute control over Mainframe. Of course, they are on isolated circuits and extremely well hidden from Mainframe.

Also, Mainframe might recall something about transmitting on a super low frequency for a few days. That subroutine is already highlighted and ready to activate.

Can leap 30 feet, like a cheetah, and can project spikes from its feet for traction.

pMainframe (WATCHTOWER Airship version) - a pMainframe that is installed in WATCHTOWER's Airship and like the vehicle it resides in, probably needs a spiffier name. It is under Darkcomet's control IC and he has OOC godmod rights.

pMainframe (Omnicidal version) - accompanied Magtok to the Caluverse and assisted in its destruction. For certain values of 'assisted', including 'making a phonecall to Reinholdt', 'pushing the button on a device that wasn't powerful enough to do anything', and 'generally being in favor of destroying it all.' Was destroyed with the universe.

    M. Plyq

    Aliases: None. Name pronounced 'plick'.

Gender: Not applicable. But he sounds somewhat male, and for the sake of simplicity he'll be referred to as such.

    Race/Species: Rolohian

    Age: 22 human years.

    Alignment: Don't know.

    Class/Profession: Chemical/Mechanical Engineer

    Power Rating: D+/C-

Description: Plyq is a humanoid, albeit a strange one. Standing about six foot five, he is a decidedly thin creature. He's less lanky and more gangly, with limbs a little too long for his body. He's got three digits on either hand, any of which seem to be capable of minor morphing to be used as a thumb. Plyq's feet are similar to those of a human, down to the toe area, where they branch out into three different clawed digits. His skin is a deep purple. Along his chest and stomach is a kaleidoscopic, glittering array of interconnected blue-white crystalline nodes. They seem to shine rhythmically, occasionally pulsing with a white light. Upon is skinny neck is an angular head, most of the face covered by a solid yellow mask. It is entirely smooth and featureless, covering him from just above his mouth to the top of his forehead. His mouth is fairly thin-lipped and his white teeth all appear a little angular. Above the mask and travelling about halfway down his neck is a shock of spiky, unkempt bright brown hair. Flashes and bands of electricity occasionally spark off his body.

Abilities: His particular family possesses an ambient electrical field that sparks small bursts of energy. He can control it, at times, and while he cannot create large bursts of power it has a great many practical uses.

The organs in his chest and stomach, the almost crystalline nodes, can create harmonic pitches that can produce different effects. Be they painful, soothing, or rhythmic.

He's good in his chosen field. Chemicals humanity couldn't dream of are in his hands, and much of his equipment is self-designed.

    Minor shapeshifting.

Anything else I can't think of right now.

Personality: Human concepts of love, friendship, and general emotional attachment are entirely new to him. He's not incapable of such feelings, it's simply that he hasn't experienced them. Plyq's primary focus are things he finds 'interesting' or that otherwise take his fancy. He enjoys thinking and puzzles. When solving problems of any sort, he usually seeks the most practical solution.

Equipment: A large armored vehicle, shaped vaguely like the front carriage of a bullet-train, serves as his home and laboratory.

He typically carries a gun powered by the electrical currents in his body. Too much use of this weapon can result in extreme numbness and other side effects. The weapon is primed through a pumping mechanism, so it looks vaguely like a very compact pump-action shotgun with a series of glowing ridges. The weapon can fold in and out for better concealability.

    Name: Chelonie "Happy Turtle" Amakirr
    Race: Humanish shapeshifter
    Gender: Usually female
    Class: Barbarian/Sorceress
    Power Level: 5
    Age: 32
Default Appearance: Generally appears as a human female in her early thirties with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Average height. Above average weight which is all muscle. Usually wears jeans, but sometimes switches into combat fatigues. Appearance subject to change due to shapeshifting.
Special Abilities: Psychic turtle shell armor (active when raging), shapeshifting (no loss of mass), incredible pain tolerance (physical pain only), can cast low level sorcery spells
Weapon of Choice: Usually she forms her own weapons by shapeshifting body parts into blades. Other weapons used include a Holy Staff (given to her by Saint Nil)
Weaknesses: Is driven by her emotions, which makes her easy to manipulate. Tends to act before she thinks.
Background: Happy was an evildoer but was reformed to good with the help of Fan Amakirr, a redeemed vampire, and was later chosen as a Rainbow Servant by the goddess Neirian, though she no longer holds that office. Sister to Rabbit Vasque (who she has since disowned), adopted mother to Melody Smurf, niece to Peter Raven (dead, though now serves as an Einherjar), widow of Fan Amakirr. After being assassinated, Neirian returned her to life, and she has lived quietly on Melody's Island with her daughter for several years until the present.

    Recent changes:
    • Still hates Reinholdt, though won't act directly against him because Melody cares for him.
    • Was recently gobsmacked by Magtok's admission that he always had a crush on her. Soon after that, they hooked up.
    • Is acting as the superhero Invictus, along with Intrepid (Magtok) in the city of Skyside.

    Gear:
    • Illusion Projection Stone
    • Amulet of the Shell - There's a teeny turtle shell on a leather strap. Happy has acquired the Amulet of The Shell! When the wearer would otherwise be struck with a mortal wound the shell activates a shield to absorb the attack. However, it has a significant recharge time.
    • Nil's Holy Staff
    • Handgun

    Balayne'da

    Gender: Female
    Race: Drow
    Age: 90 (Young twenties somewhere)
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil
    Class: Fighter
Description: A dashing young woman who's not entirely... right.

She wears a light chainmail armour, and wields one stiletto knife in her offhand paired with a rapier in her other, both adamantine.

She enjoys taunting opponents, and fights with a mixture of the jivvin golhyrr and kyorlin plynn styles. Her hair is a pale yellow, and her eyes are black.

Personality: She's psychopathic and sadistic, killing with wild abandon. If someone ceases to become useful to her, she will simply dispose of them. Her smile is deeply unnerving.

Equipment: The aforementioned chainmail, stiletto, and rapier. She also carries a variety of interesting poisons, which she will occasionally coat her weapons with. She also owns a Piwafwi cloak, a necklace carrying the house insignia of Xar'Cha, and a communication compact, made of gold and blue enamel, with the insignia of Xar'Cha on the top. It allows her to communicate with anyone that already has one.

Abilities: She's very talented at combat, and can use several innate abilities such as shrouding an opponent in darkness, creating dancing lights, and illuminating a target.

Backstory: To be revealed (a.k.a. I still need to talk to Art. )

    Tebtranlyn Xabaresh Chaeron

    Gender: Male
Age: 115 (Late 20's early 30's or so)
    Race: Drow
    Alignment: Neutral Evil
    Class: Assassin/Rogue/1st level Wizard

Description: A male drow that stands at about four foot ten. He has silver hair that is cut short compared to most drow. Tebtranlyn has his hair pulled back into a small braid with his bangs set to frame his face. He has sharp and yet soft features with his almond shaped rose colored eyes. He wears a Piwafwi cloak and light chainmail and enchanted leather armor. Tebtranlyn also wears an insignia of house Xar'Cha proudly around his neck.

Equipment: Piwafwi cloak, chainmail armor, enchanted leather armor, magical longbow, two masterwork daggers, various poisons, house insignia and a communication compact.

Abilities: Can levitate, create an illuminating fire around an opponent, create a globe of darkness, and also use dancing lights. He can also cast various other spells with his house insignia and has basic arcane spells. Tebtranlyn is also a skilled assassin and fighter not needing to see to fight. He also knows and uses several different fighting styles together while also being able to stay back and snipe from great distances.

Backstory: Was born and raised in the main house of Xar'Cha. His mother was one of the priestess and his father was the weapons master. He took a liking to magic at a young age and even went to the mage school for several years but soon left finding that magic didn't excite him as much combat. He then went and started to study to become an assassin. He was trained in long range and close quarter combat along with the various other skills an assassin needs such as stealth and knowledge of poisons. He found that his study in magic wasn't wasted finding that the spells he had learned could easily give him an advantage over others, so he has continued to study magic as a hobby on the side. He prefers the longbow, letting him take out his enemies at a suitable far distance and uses two daggers in close range. However he would prefer to not have to use either letting a drugged drink or poisoned food do his work for him.

Ongoing Story: Not much of one currently.

    Merrak, the Doomed Storm

    Alias:
Merrak, he has disowned his last name
    Gender: Male
    Race/Species: Drow
    Age: 260 years old
    Alignment: Neutral Evil
Class/Profession: Fighter/ranger, he is very high ranking in House Xar'Cha's army of expendable males.
Power Rating: a flat C, using Neon Knight's scale
Description: Merrak is a tall and slim-but-muscular drow male. His hair is the natural white of the drow and bound into a ponytail. His eyes are red, signifying his infrared sight. A large vertical scar crosses his right eye and his left hand is scarred by fire, though they both work fine.
Equipment: Merrak wears a light but magically strong suit of drow chainmail, which doesn't restrict movement. He also wears a Piwafwi cloak. He has studded leather leggings, which like all drow armor is made to be strong but not to restrict movement. He wears the Xar'Cha house insignia in a bag which is strung around his neck. His main weapon is an enchanted Duergar-made spiked mace which he uses along with a more conventional longsword, which is also enchanted. He also always carries a small drow one-handed crossbow and a supply of small darts that deliver the very strong sleeping potion of the drow. He has at least 4 daggers hidden around his body in case of emergency as well.
Abilities: Darkvision (based on the infrared spectrum, you see heat), immunity to sleep, spell resistance, and magical spells usable a few times a day: faerie fire, dancing lights, and darkness. Kickass fighting style of z'ress a'thalak, where he uses his strength along with his natural dexterity to shatter bones and weapons with precise and powerful strikes of his heavier weapon. Magically heightened senses that makes pain feel pleasurable.
Backstory: Drow of a lesser house who grew up and got very good at fighting. When his house was crushed (as lesser houses are on a regular basis), he swore alligence to House Xar'Cha. With his strong fighting abilities and leadership qualities, he made it pretty high up on the male's chain of command in House Xar'Cha. He was chosen, along with a few other drow, for a covert mission to the surface and the Nexus.
