Question Feat that determines HD of foe?

Trying to recall a feat that lets you determine the HD of the beings around you so that you know which one is the worst threat?

If you had the necessary familiarity with the outer planes' market for souls, you could attempt an appraise check...

Not sure if appraise can work for determining HD of potential slaveries.

If it's for a monster, give it as a bonus feat.

There's a method for determining the approximate CR of opponents by a simple standard action sense motive checks in complete adventurer I think, or maybe scoundrel. Greater failures give CR's further from the truth.

No, they're both from C.Adv. The general use is much more imprecise and I think slower than the feat.
