Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Its excellent. The expressions as papers are brought up and once everyone is chained is just priceless. And Enor's line is amazing. All around, a good comic.

I would really like to see a game made by Obryn, Kurald Galain, and Knaight from these forums.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Ahh, the classical "What papers?" scene. Must be annoying to live under such a heavy burocracy. I wonder how Durkon will handle the situation...

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
I know Mr. Scruffy is probably attempting to claw him, but I'm going to pretend the first panel contains a cat trying to punch a dragon. It's more fun that way.
And bureaucracy strikes again. Poor Roy. And Belkar, I suppose.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
It seems that Mr Scruffy was not apprehended. An unlikely pair to the rescue: Durkon and the Scruffinator! (they fight crime...)
There aren't really any exclusive or original ideas on TVTropes. That's kind of the point.

plain and simple Awesome.78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Just one time in this comic I wanna see stuff pan out the way it should do in accordance to tropes. An ACTUAL barroom brawl would have been nice. Hope the whole thing appears in bonus comics!

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Wow, a D&D country in which the law actually breaks up a bar fight before anyone dies? A bar fight involving Belkar, no less? Say what you will for
the Empress of BloodElan's dad and Malack, they sure make the magical lightening-powered trains run on time.

Hee hee. Well, this is a bit of a speed bump. I was hoping for a protracted bar fight, though.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Giggle. But something's wrong with Belkar. He was merely wrestling Enor - he brought fists to a fistfight. How strange.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
Y'know, many of these comics bring a chuckle from me, and sometimes I even laugh at loud, but this is the first time I've *snickered*. Serves 'em right .
Cross-alignment adventure coming up, I wonder?
ETA: Wait, wait, wait, how did they even get into the city without a denizen number? They should have had a visa issued at the entry gate.
Respectfully,

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
If you were in doubt, Mr Scruffy is a fearsome creature not resenting to defend it's master even if Belkar willingly is clinging onto a half-dragon. Unfortunatly I think the DR is too high. Mr Scruffy handles casters better.
EDIT for some second thoughts:
1) Poor Durkon. All alone in a strange city. No friends, no denizen number...
2) At least Roy now knows where the rest of the party was brought to.
3) The Empire of Blood should be "The Empire of Paperwork and Bureaucracy, pitfall for all magical transportating adventureres"Last edited by Garwain; 2010-06-28 at 07:49 AM.

Re: OOTS #731 - The Discussion Thread
You have to respect a place where the law is that effect (and scary) that there is no resistance ... which would be futile, anyway, wouldn't it? ;)
I wonder how Roy and Belkar got into the City without going through any formal channels?
So now it is up to Durkon to save the day? :)
