    Default [SWSE] Melee Duelist

As in the title. The Melee Duelist from the KOTOR campaignsetting, is it worth it? Single weapon flourish I & II to get full attacks as standard actions sounds pretty great, especially combined with triple strike and a few multiattack proficiencies.
I talked to my GM and I can use ataru to replace the prerequisite Master of Elegance (they do the same thing).
Only thing I can't replace is the melee defence feat I need to enter the PrC.

So, is it worth it? One crappy feat to get full attacks as standard actions? Or are there better options?

Melee full attacks are generally worthless in Saga Edition, given how easy it is for opponents to simply move away.

Its full attack as a standard action, its worth it, they can't move away that easily. Sure, distance can be kept with blasters in use, but once melee is involved, its a useful tree.
I would really like to see a game made by Obryn, Kurald Galain, and Knaight from these forums.

I'm not joking one bit. I would buy the hell out of that.

Even more useful if you have Surge. It's fairly trivial to close into melee with the massive speed bonus granted, unless you are fighting in a truly large area.

Yeah, surge, battle strike, and improved battle strike force technique..
Triple strike, and usually things tend to fall down fairly quick..

If you're already finding your damage output to be acceptable, then Melee Duelist won't do much to help you. However, in a fairly feat-heavy system, Melee Defense isn't hard to pick up (and may indeed be useful!), and Melee Duelist does give you a +4 class bonus to reflex if you didn't have it already, as well as granting access to the Weapon Specialist talent tree, a useful way of picking up Devastating Attack (sabers), although argueably a soldier dip is better for that.

Obviously Melee Duelist is suberb for actual Duels, so if you want to go the Makashi route it's kinda obvious, for things like Advantageous Strike.
