    Default 3.5 core rogue-assassin

so, i've spent the last month or so reading up, trying to put together an assassin
(first time actually playing d&d, but i've spent the last 5 years or so playing any PC version of d&d you can think of)

chaotic neutral (made a deal with the DM)
    tiefling
    5 rog/1 ass/6 rog/8 ass

    28 point buy:
    str: 12
dex: 16 <- addition points go here
    con: 12
    int: 16
    wis: 10
    char: 10
(2 points left, could go for 12 wis for better will saves?)

taking the classic rogue skills, disarm, tumble, search, and so forth

    flaw: kleptomaniac

    feats:
1: improved initiative, 2 weapon fighting
    3: weapon finesse
6 and further: don't really know, the rest of the 2weapon fighting tree, leaves me with 3 more feats. weapon focus handaxe maybe?

going for dual wielding handaxes (because axes are awesome)
    trying to stick to core
and the flaw is more for flavor than the bonus feat it gives me ;)

so, is it a good build? do you guys have any advice?

    thanks in advance :)

You can have a great ass if you build like so.

i can see where the ranger's coming from, but why eldritch knight/ arcane trickster? aren't even more caster levels kind of a waste?

Continuing life as a rogue seemed boring.

If you want to be an actual Assassin, and not by-name-only, you may want Ability Focus (Death Attack)

Extra points go into Con. You should know that from D&D video games. +1 will save isn't worth as much as +1 Fort and +1 hp per level. (Or put the points into Con and take the trait that gives -1 Fort, +1 Will).
